Watching Carvallho in this game exposes one of the problems he has at the Premier league level, which is that he is not quick enough to escape pressure. He's also not a shifty dribbler so he can't create space.

What he does seem to do well is movement and be available for passes.

Obviously he has an eye for goal too.

Reminds me of Minamino. Too small/lightweight to lead the line for us, or play midfield, and not quick enough to play wide. At least in a Klopp team anyway.

What he can be, like Taki, is an impact player though and  he gets in the right positions and put himself about.

What an IDIOT on Hull...just see the game out - instead commits the textbook penalty after being beaten for pace.

Yep - Hull have tired badly after dominating for 50 minutes. They lack a pacy presence up top, and it might have been worse had Bamford been hooked earlier, as he deserved.
