That's what I'm hoping. I think Gakpo and Salah for Nunez and Jota after around 65 mins was kind of pre-planned, but that went out the window with the two injuries.
So in order to preserve a substitution spot for (later) in the 2nd half they just brought the Darwin one forward to half time and delayed Elliot instead.

Kloppo just said Nunez "felt something, and with the one ingame sub left decided to take  no risks"

Impressively despite only coming on after 33 minutes - Ryan Gravenberch won the most duels on the pitch for #LFC today (6).

He also won 2/3 tackles, and completed 2/3 dribbles.

Yes true but we won 4-1 and your here just moaning about refs. I take you to referee a match if it is that easy? Diving is so hard to judge, like the Konate one first half on Maupay. His arms were out but there was nothing in it and Maupay and the ref fell for it. There were a few that went for us too like Robertsons barge on Toney. I didn't think it was a pen and it was good refereeing.

Really good performance in spite of appalling refereeing.
How they were allowed to kick and wrestle with impunity, but touch Maupay or Toney's back and they collapse and get free kicks.
Hope Klopp calls out the lack of protection our players are getting.
They could have had a pen from Robertson's clumsy challenge, although Toney played for it. It would have been a travesty given the hauling down of Jota in the box earlier, and how the Diaz one isnt a pen I have no idea.

Wonderful Nunez goal and great to see Salah back, great assist and great goal. Could have been a couple more too.
Kelleher made some good saves and was unlucky with the goal.
Endo did well playing with a yellow for long periods too. Gravenberch got into the game too, hope he picks up from that as he is likely to get a lot more opportunities now. Elliot looked bright when he came on and Virgil and Ibou were excellent. Bradley was fantastic too.

With Darwin injured as well as Jones and Jota we can still field a strong side but the risk now is overloading the fit players.

Front 3 of Diaz, Salah and Gakpo, no one behind them apart from Elliott who has to provide rotation for the midfield 3 of Endo, Mac and Grav. Might have to give McConnell a start against Luton.
