I will flip if Taylor Swift is the headliner the year I'm planning on going.

Fuck sake.

It’s obviously fate, Andy.

Blackpink just headlined Coachella.

If it's two female headliners I can't see both of them being soloists.

Maybe HAIM or London Grammar or even Yeah Yeah Yeahs.

2 Female acts would be hard to predict. If Swift is one, the other will surely either be someone absolutely massive, or a UK based legend.

Beyonce? Rihanna? Pink? Spice Girls reunion?

My guesses would be Taylor Swift, Coldplay, Madonna

You could well be right about those three but Dua Lipa is huge - third biggest selling album of 2020 in the UK and the one before was in the top 10 a couple of years earlier. She pretty much sold out both O2 dates on the last tour. Might be a bit sugary next to Madonna or Swift though.

They were fucking MEGA. It's hard to resist the lure of the pyramid with huge names but the smaller stages really are the better experience.
3 midfielders minimum in the next window. And probably another young CB to boot.

Bjork could play but wouldn't be headlining, 1994  and 2007 both followed her most conventional albums. Her more recent  stuff is very avante garde. I went to see her a few years ago and you couldn't even get back in from the toilet during songs. If I had of known I would have just pissed myself, she's worth it.

She was announced as a headliner in 2020, in the Sunday night slot. Next June falls within her tour dates in the UK/Europe, so there's every chance she has been booked for the Sunday slot on June 30th.

Interested to hear from anyone who went this year about how busy it was? Had a few mates say they feel like it's been over-subscribed the last couple of years. The last 2 have been 210,000 which is up almost 100k over ten years or so. I know it's always going to be busy at peak times at big stages but seems to have been a sense it was a bit 'much' this year.

i last went in 2009 and didn't notice the crowds, but it felt really busy as the weekend went on.  it felt like every food vendor ad a line of four or 5 waiting, getting served was fairly easy, but still a wait, but you could get around to see the bands you wanted. its was just mad busy for elton as it was standing room only for the entire field.

got to say that getting in and getting away was a piece of piss from the car parks.

I've been to the last four and this one felt a lot less busy than last year. I think coming out of Covid and the loss of a lot of staff really had an effect last year but I felt like they were on top of stuff a lot more this year which was great to see. I didn't have to queue for food or toilets really all weekend. Of course some popular things are going to be really busy but that's to be expected.

Felt a lot less busy than last year. Think it was better managed. Having said that I didn't bother with The Pyramid (they've no idea on booking or scheduling) except for a brief look at Lizzo.

Anyway, I'll post a review sometime later today.
