As in Ice van, those vans that deliver ice.
WHAT A TIME TO BE ALIVE!

Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him

Always nice to get Dutch players. You're almost guaranteed to get a technically accomplished player of high game intelligence.

With Pep Lijnders we probably have someone who gives us an edge when it comes to awareness of big Dutch talents. We don't want to lose out on next Van Dijk.

He was born 6 months after we completed the treble. He wasn't even 4 by the time of Istanbul. Fuck that.

If I'm being perfectly honest, I do think the time for me to be signed by the club might be running out. I think if it hasn't happened in the next 5 or 6 years then I might look for other opportunities.

Great club this for young'uns, you get to train with some of the best players in the world for a few months, and then at the end of the season they give you a champions league winners medal.

Seems good from the notoriously misleading Youtube compilations. When I watched it I imagined him as Van Dijk, the way defending almost seemed easy. Looks to be an exciting prospect!
if I came home to allison in bed with my wife I'd ask him to phone Virgil to see if he wanted to pop round too.

The Anfield Dutch Dynasty is starting to take shape nicely. I predict by 2023 we will be conceding less than 5 goals a season.

Every day of the week I would rather we sign the hottest young talent and bring them through to learn off the likes of Van Dijk.

Van Den Berg, Hoever, Brewster ... wow, we have some great things to look forward to.

Welcome lad!

Seems our plan now is to buy the good players for a decent wedge, then bring in the young money ball prospects to learn from them.  Of course having Klopp and #6 is also a big boost. :)

Pretty soon we'll have a Dutch CB pairing, British full backs, Brazilian midfield and African strikeforce.  Deadly af ;D

For someone who has already played in a first division team at such a young age, and supposedly chased by multiple big clubs, I'm surprised his price is so low. ??? I'd think 5-10M.

However highly rated, he’s still not played a huge amount of games and he’ll still require a lot of development, which will be now be done at our club. Another season, yes, we’d likely have to pay much more if he showed improvement again. Hopefully, we’ve signed a future elite CB for pennies all while being trained by Klopp from a young age. Imagine in 5-6 years a generation of younger players coming through already knowledgeable of the system.

He looks good in the YouTube video I've seen (yes I know), but his core defensive skills shine even though it's a heavily edited highlight reel, shows *what* he is capable of.

Fine.

Here is a song for Hoever,

Cheap so cheap,
I'll sing songs for the clean sheets you keep,
When you score from a corner
I'll write another song,

Oh Andy, Oh Ki-Jana,
Oh Dejan, Oh Trent,
Wrote so many songs about you
I forget your name (I forget your name)

van den Berg, Allison, Andy Robbo
Virgil and Gomez too (I forget your name)
van den Berg, Allison, Andy Robbo
Virgil and Gomez too (I forget your name)

A "Berg" is a mountain/hill/koppie.
The phrase and words - "Van der/Van den/Van" mean "of the" or "from the" or just "from".

Anyway, A light in defense would be great(De Ligt), but who wouldn't like mountains in defense? :)
And we have the Kop...
