Proper Nunez goal that

He put in the hard work closing down and got rewarded when the keeper fucked up.

Otherwise, it's been a totally dominant half from us but we're really struggling to create good opportunities against Wilder's parked bus. Even against a team offering as little as Sheffield United the game is never safe for as long as the advantage remains at only 1.

If we get a second then I reckon the floodgates could open but the quality in the final third has to improve.

Need to get out of neutral, far too greedy near their box, always taking the wrong option. Another goal will finish them off and we can relax.

Despite the arrogance of some posters in the pre-match thread, we're making heavy weather of it. To be honest, they've had better chances but yeah let's rest players and let's win 10-0.

These are awful but one goal never enough for us. Like playing a League One team in the cup, they're well up for it and throwing themselves at everything, of course we don't get the team who let Arsenal walk all over them.

Poor half creatively. Reduced to potshots. Too much going through Gomez all the time.

Dull and not particularly good. Typical Liverpool first half really. As always, the opposition is working hard but aren't likely to keep it up. Need that second for comfort.

I’m not against players taking long shots, but taking long shots when other players are better placed is infuriating.

That Gravenberch one was the worst, could have easily slid Nunez in.
