is there a number on th ee-mail you recieved?

I am going with easyjet and vueling and coming back with 2 flights from ryanair, will have to keep an eye on flight times.   I am going liverpool-barcelona-barcelona-milan-milan-barcelona-barcelona-liverpool.

Might be on the same ones going out then - same route and airlines anyway. Coming back via A'dam though with Transavia (?) & Easyjet. No idea if any other airlines have a habit of changing their flight times - better keep an eye out regularly then....! ::) They should at least have to email people who have already booked when they change them - after all, you take the price offered on the basis that it is at the time specified! Thought that would be part of the contract - or they should offer to move you if there is another suitable flight, which there might not be! >:(

Orio is the Bergamo airport, well just near.  Malpensa is 50km northwest and Linate is a little closer. They all have regular bus and shuttle services.  Will set you back about 8 Euro's.

How far is the Bergamo airport from the city centre? How long do the bus and shuttle services take from each airport?

I think you are interisting of the distance and the travel time for Milano( for Bergamo about 10')

MAplensa and Orio are about 50Km
Linate is about 4Km

Malpensa- Cadorna station( Mi center) 40' with train
Malpensa- Central Station 1hour with bus
Linate- San Babila( Mi center) 30' with bus
Linate- Lambrate station 10' con bus
Orio- Lambrate station 1hour
Orio- Centrale station 1hour 10'

Monday to wednesday flights from Tampere (2 hours from Helsinki) to Bergamo is 70 euros. Helsinki to Malpensa is 250€ so I'll go with the Bergamo option.

I would when the difference is that much.

It baffles me though when some people go to the more inconvenient one to save about £30/45 Euros!

Cheapest option for Marseille for me included a train journey and three Ryanair flights to get home.  I would never do that again (except for a repeat of Istanbul!).

My worst experience with travelling cheap was Benfica away. Flights from Helsinki to Lisbon wasn't much expensive than my route: flying from Tampere to Frankfurt Hahn, stayed night there and early flight to Porto where I took a train to Lisbon. A nightmare that was.

It's good when you're a group of mates.

In 2003 I was follwoing the Bowie tour round France and England.  After the last French show on the sat night I booked a cheap ryanair flight from Lyon to London..problem was the airport was at St. Ettiene..one balls up after another meant I missed my flight due to a couple of dodgy cabbies..ended up in the middleof nowhere and 5 hours later and 400 euro's more I was on the train to London.

Moments like that you wish you were in a group ;)

Used to love Euro aways for the travelling part only, brilliant, trains, airports, flights getting pissed, playing poker, having a laugh, scaring people off... Now I'm back in Nice I've to do the travelling all on my own and it's become by far the worst part of the trip...

Agree with you Tetti-Britsih Airways are still selling seats for around £120-£130 from Heathrow and London City Airport rather than faffing round Europe on these Low Cost Airline flights

You'll catch it easy.
Yeah the train's good value for what is a 5 hours each way journey. Done it once before, goes through Monaco and Genoa, some decent sights. Doubt I'll be on the same one as you on the way back though, will probably sleep in and get one in the afternoon. Enjoy, no booze sold on it so don't forget the cans.

Ryanair have the highest extra add on charges and don't fly to anywhere near where yu fuckin want to be: Girona, Bergamo, Hahn etc.

Easyjet, Jet2 and flybe are the way to go.

You can still get scheduled flights with British Airways out of London for £116 although they are charging £300 out of Manchester. Still reckon that you can do it yourself  for £200 on scheduled flights although it might mean flying out of London-Find the £299 advertised in the Echo a bit steep
