Just gone over to talktalk pleased with the results, about a third to half again quicker than i was on before, plus twice as quick upload

Looks bad, but I don't even use this speed that much. The 100/100 isn't that much more expensive, as is I keep ratios no problem, and never have to wait that long for downloads. 1000/1000 is going to be available within the next few months, daft price though, plus I think if I had that I'd be housebound, I'd constantly have to utilise it or feel bad for not doing so!

Just moved house and now back on Virgin. Yes, I hate the way they throttle speeds at peak time, but cable's really the only option round here if you want decent speeds.

At last Virgin have improved their upload speeds. All we need now is the 100mb rollout which starts the week after next.

Does that mean that 50mb customers will now get throttled at peak times. Its my understanding that only top package is unthrottled.
Are they going to shift 10 to 20, 20 to 50. They usually do when they launch a new top speed.

New traffic management policies.

If your upstream speed hasn't been upgraded yet

So no traffic management for 50mb where your upload speed is still 1.5mb max, 6GB upload limit between 3pm and 8pm where your upload speed is now 5mb and you then get throttled to 65%.

No word on free upgrades for anyone. I'm pretty sure they'll keep 10mb going anyway.
