Train from New Street to Witton, only takes a few mins. About 5 min walk from there to the away end.
Rafa Benitez: "I'll always keep in my heart the good times I've had here, the strong and loyal support of the fans in the tough times and the love from Liverpool. Seems the first trains from Lime Street get to New Street at quarter past 1. Would that leave enough time to get to Villa Park for KO?

Thanks! Decided to walk it as the train from New St to Witton leaves 5 mins before I get into B'ham, this happens every hour too  :butt

Yew Tree was sound last season and loads of reds in there, parking in the pub (£5) or the road outside (fuck all) about 5 min walk to Cap & Gown and then another 5 mins to the ground.
It's not where you've been, it's where we're going.

Witton Arms (formerly Cap n Gown) on Witton Road is a few minutes from our end. One half of the pub is for home fans and one half for us. You have to pay a couple of quid to get in but it's sound.

Hi Guys

Planning to attend this away match at Villa park on Sun Mar-31. Travelling from overseas, will be staying at Novotel London West.

Any suggestions of the best way to travel from Novotel London West to Villa Park Birmingham. And back.

And any good sites for ordering the tickets. Were looking at Ticket.org and OnlineTicketExpress.com. Are these good? Or any other better ones?

Many Thanks.

:butt Mate, you won't get anyone condoning them kind of sites on here!! Why would you want to order from touts? Massively above face value, potential fakes, plus you would be looking at a ban from RAWK advertising these kind people.

Get your name down on the ticket exchange on here a week before the game, and if your on there early enough there is a good chance you will get sorted.

A Liverpool SOUTH PARKWAY
B Man Picc
C Birmingham New Street
D Witton ("5 mins walk" to Villa Park)

A - B 0832-0910  TransPennineExpress
B - C 0927-1100  Cross Country
C - D 1117-1126  London Midland

For the 0932, just add one hour to all times!

How does the block system work here. Upper looks better in p9 but which is better in the lower, q1 or q3. Last time I went we were behind the goals when we won 4-3 in 2003.

Q3 is the block nearest the home fans and nearer the centre circle I think.

EDIT - hmmm, or maybe not. ???

Driving down for this, is it best to come off the M6 at J6 or J7? And what's parking like near the ground? Usually get the train down.

Looking likely I'm on my own so if there's plenty of trains running back to new st, I might hang around till the rush has gone and have a beer or 5.  ;D

Online, (assuming Club have updated) it says Douglas Ellis Stand Upper Tier,  P11, P10, P9 are left.  Adults £40 and seats are either restricted / severely restricted views. P9 is nearest to Centre Line.

At least you won't get hit by the sprinkler system up there!

Last year there was a huge queue for trains but a couple came along almost immediately, one after the other.

Last year I stayed in Brum and got the train to Villa Park, this time I'm driving. Are there car parks near ground? Something like the one at Reading would be ideal minus the £8 fee to park there!

Booked a train - return for £23 so although I'd get home later, diesel would probably be £40+.
