Played pretty well but had a few self inflicted moments that have cost us. Think our fullbacks have done pretty well in the nain, just not taken advantage of our attacking opportunities

I thought after the initial Alisson dodgy pass that their goal would come from a mistake.

All that said though I think we have looked more than capable. Fine margins and all that but need to take a chance when it comes and don't lose the ball in a  dangerous position.

We’ve basically done pretty well. This is a top 4 team beginning to look like it could challenge for the title. Just a shame Allison had a nightmare for their goal. Both the kick and then the save - he normally stops those.

We’ve actually been pretty good defensively apart from that passage of play leading to the goal, which makes it so frustrating. Probably need something a little different with Diaz, Grav and Elliot prime candidates to come on if nothing changes early in the second half.

Not got a lot from Szoboszlai and we've had problems defensively with Trent again I feel, they're a couple who need to step things up. I'd look for Diaz soon enough but then again Jota could probably score at any time. Few sloppy passes aside we've looked okay on the ball. Just got to find the next goal and hope to take at least a draw.

Alisson saves that shot 99 times out of 100. Annoying this is the one occasion his wrists aren't strong enough.

Played really well. Except for the goal which was awful. Allison shank.  Szoboszlai and Trent far too slow, VVD and Joel mix up on covering, bobbly shot past the keeper. Such fine margins in these games. And for Heavens sake shoot on sight.

A cacophony of mistakes for the goal.

Alisson with a stinker of a pass, but the real crime is Szobo and Trent allowing Nathan Ake to walk through us 35 yards out from goal. Absolutely shocking intensity and aggression there.

We’ve been good otherwise but conceding a goal like that is a real stinker.

Nunez keeping the ball in despite being offside was…. Annoying.

It was clear from the few mins into the game thar Jones wasn’t ready to match the needed intensity. Few braindead decisions from Nunez, but he’s the only real outlet we have, apart from Szoboslzai who’s been probably our best player. Either him or Matip. TAA’s “defending” on their goal was pub level like.

Well we should be going in level but we make far too many errors. Not sure whether you can call what Trent and Szoboszlai did an error to be fair, that's just not giving a shit and letting a centre back skin you. Allison makes an error but those two are just a joke for that. Just not serious.

There is still time, considering the start City made they will be disappointed they are only 1-0 ahead. I would get Grav on this half, I like Curtis normally but there were two opportunities we had which he just threw away. I hate that City continue to get away with the little knocks they sneakily do in the penalty area, when they nudged Salah away from the ball which would have been perfect for him. Diaz will hopefully be full of running and I still say we have the better subs. Just don't concede early in the second half and make a couple of changes and see where we end up.

Dunno about that mate - he can’t stop Doku receiving it and has got squared up / backed off a lot ..it’s an issue for us.

A good first half. Unfortunate on the goal, but that's the danger with a world class striker. One chance and one goal. We need to be sharper when we get our chances. I think we have hesitated when our big moments have arrived.
According to Fredrik Ljungberg the key player for City has been Silva. It's through him they escape our press.
