Well in Juan, top read that.

Really enjoyed reading that. Rafa is the biggest asset the club have. He means more to me than everything else combined.

That post is like a stiff jab in the eye (or an eye opener) to those that think Rafa is nothing other than a fat Spanish waiter. Epic.

Thanks for that Juan Loco. Really got me fired up for the season. I have wrote similar pieces (although nowhere near as good) in regards to Rafael Benitez before as well and yours details mine in a way I don't think I would be capable of.

Bring it on. I want us to win the league for obvious reasons. But I'd also quite like Rafa to win it with us, for him, to shove 2 fingers up at the lot of them, especially Ferguson.

That's excellent, I really hope that it turns the heads of some of the doubters out there.

In regards to statements about mistakes he's made, I think it fair to say the same of every manager who is or has been part of the game. The difference with Rafa that you notice is that he always seems to be learning from his mistakes and deficiencies, the team and the game we play seems to be in a constant course of progression and that's the reason why I have such a respect and affinity for what he is doing at the club. Long may it continue.

Fantastic. Thanks for posting.

I'd be more gutted if Rafa left than Torres/Carra/Reina or, dare I say it, even Gerrard. I know the time will come, but now that our ownership is so disconnected from what our club is all about, I just don't think we'll be as lucky with our next managerial appointment.

Rafa being our boss just feels right and I don't want it to end.

Great read thanks

This should be passed on to Rafa himself.

I hope ( im sure ) he knows how highly we hold him

Maybe pass this onto any player thinking of leaving too?
Fought them all the way. Proud to be amongst some great supporters.

Great post as always, I especially liked this part, underlining specifically what sets Rafa apart from the rest and why we admire him so much:

Most managers, even the very best, move from club to club picking up trophies along the way. Their legacy is in the medals they’ve won, not the hearts and minds of the supporters of the clubs they guided to success. Very few managers leave behind a legacy in both, but that is the opportunity Rafa Benitez has. The opportunity he fought for.

The ending was also brilliant. Thank you.

great stuff, Rafa has had to suffer more than most managers in his time here, and mostly because he achieves things without doing things "their way".

Until he wins the title a couple of times he will never be given the respect he deserves from the rest of english football

Fenomenal Juan.

What I like about Benitez is that he has been brave and dignified throughout. Hasn't backed down and has fought his corner graciously. He'll never admit it but he hasn't earnt Fergie's respect. Since the Premiership began only Keegan's ill-burst rant comes to mind where somebody has finally stood up to Fergie.
