Not a bad month, lad got £25, 2 daughters £75 each and I won £575 -  biggest prize I've ever had.

I dont have Premium Bonds but am in a position to put £200 a month into something.....considering the interest on a regular saver works out at about £35 a year, it almost seems worth just punting on winning a prize or two.

Is it easy to withdraw the cash form the account if required?

Its online now and doesn't take too long for the £ to reach your account.

I have some money left in England that my Dad moves around for me to try to make a few measly pounds in interest from time to time. It's something like just over 10K in pounds that has been sitting in some Leeds high interest account for 18 months. But today high interest means about 1.5%.

He suggested I consider putting the money in premium bonds.

Looking in here for the past few pages it looks like premium bonds can give a few pounds if you are a 'lucky person' or otherwise just sit safely there in the hope of winning 'the big one'. It's all in my Dads name so if it is a big win then I have to hope he does the right thing.

I’m gonna leave my money in premium bonds for now as rates are still going up and the money can be withdrawn at pretty short notice. Once rates settle then I may move the money into a savings account and fix it there for a couple of years.

Don’t forget while we’re all dreaming of winning the big one, even the smaller prizes are nothing to sniff at!

Have they increased the payouts since the 0.5% rate increase or are they trousering it like everyone else?

Just hear its going up from 1.4% to 2.2%.
Wouldn't be surprised to see further increases.

I received an email earlier today from NS & I saying WINNER, You've just won. Thanks to your Premium Bonds, you've won a prize. Ready to check the amount? Have your holders number at hand and click below.

So I log in and am informed that I have won in this months draw (October) £125, one £100 prize and one £25 prize.

Nothing has been deposited in my bank account, can one of you's who are regular winners tell me how long it usually takes to come through.

Thanks.    :)

If you get the app it tells you the date of the draw and if you have won on the day. I tend to find the emails don’t come for a couple of extra days usually.
