Finding the Arielle Free show on Radio 1

Great music and a nice presenter who isn't up herself or fascinated at their own voice or wants to tell us about their juvenile escapades

This morning, the skies were clear and the sun has managed to pop up over the 5-story apartment block over the road for the first time since Oct/Nov......

Sitting on the bed and feeling the warmth of sunrays through the window when I know it's minus ridiculous outside is such a nice feeling.

Marinaded and grilled ;)

I love lamb, kleftiko, slow cooked Moroccan lamb etc, but when I go to Scotland and see fields of them bouncing about, I feel a bit tight. Dunno if I could actually kill a lamb anymore. I could kill and eat rabbits and squirrels though.

We're surrounded by fields of pregnant ewes that are just starting lambing, we've cut our lamb dinners down to nearly zero since moving.

We also have pheasants, partridge, rabbits and red squirrels wandering around the garden and making good use of the bird feeders so I couldn't kill or eat any of them either.

I adore reds, I'd never harm one of those.

Greys are certified vermin/invasive species and can be killed. In fact, if a grey gets in your house, it's illegal to let it out, you have to humanely kill it.

Rob needs to add some more graphics to his truck.....

Love to watch them run about, taking the piss out of the local moggies, but same as you, they wrecked my feeders, robbed all the bird food, and dig holes all over the front and back garden. They're breeding in numbers now, our road has too many of them now

I've made my feelings clear on this, greys should be exterminated with extreme prejudice.
That being said I did catch one once (they'd burrowed into my roof) and I just drove off to a park and let him out  :-[

My dog hates them. IF we're out for a walk and she see's one, she's after it.

If she ever caught one, she wouldn't know what to do with it. She's a proper soft-arse.

A Tory, a worker and an immigrant are sat round a table. There's a plate of 10 biscuits in the middle. The Tory takes 9 then turns to the worker and says "that immigrant is trying to steal your biscuit"

Stupid squirrels, spent around $1000 2 years ago trying to get 4 of them out of my roof. They chewed through the siding and set up a nest, drove us absolutely insane with their running in the gutters.

I've just started Dry Feb-Nov. Yip, going for 9 months this year. Next year, if I succeed this year, will be a 12 month stretch, after which I'll take a "one year at a time" approach.

To be honest, I wish I'd just kept going last year. Might try that this year. Nov 1st isn't a goal for me to look forward to drinking on, it's a stepping stone to never wanting to drink again. I know this is the wrong thread for this, sorry, it's just that it makes me happy to do this in life. Small steps become bigger ones once momentum gets going.

Spot on. I kind of enjoyed giving it a go, and I know it would be good for me to try something longer. Just not ready yet, enjoy a beer and glass of vino too much. Maybe in few years time. But well in Jim, nothing but admiration.
