Thought it was a bit of a shithouse attempt and you gotta feel for Hecht.

Definitely...I would have suspended Tucker for three games

Buffalo and Toronto play one more time this year and things can get really ugly because no discipline was meted out.  Most of the time the Sabres and their fans whine like crazy, but this time they have a point and I agree with Ruff  :o :o :o

Rangers @ Boston game is on live here tonight, at 7pm, what a treat, not having to stay up till midnight for face-off  ;D

Maybe tonight is the night the Jagrmeister breaks his next Ranger record!

Tonight was the night

53 for the Jagrmeister and 100 pts for the Blueshirts

 :wellin :scarf :scarf

Nylander scored the winner, and when NBC had him on for a post-game interview, he said "shite" on the air and it wasn't bleeped out (in the States they are sticklers for censoring "curse" words)

53 goals for Jagr  :wellin

100 points for the Rangers  :wellin

And Michael Nylander gives Pierre Maguire some stick on the air, and reminds him of 'all that shit' he taught him in Hartford  ;D  And now the presenters are busy apologising for Nylander's language, hehe.

Why couldnt the Leafs put in this sort of run earlier - probably too late to make the Play Offs.

Any ideas why they have started playing so well recently? Is it the Goaltending of Aubin? Sundin scoring regularly? Young players called up with something to prove?

Toronto Maple Leafs vs. Florida Panthers

GET THE FUCK IN TOMAS KABERLE YOU FUCKING BEAUTY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! OVERTIME WINNER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! THE AIR CANADA CENTRE FUCKING EXPLODED!!!!!!

Oh, and a couple of other side notes:

- Joe Nieuwendyk gets a hatrick in his return to Toronto but is overshadowed by Leafs captain Mats Sundin who gets 4 GOALS AND 6 POINTS!

- Tampa Bay loses, allowing the Leafs to come within 5 points of the playoff spot with one game in hand.

- The radio commentators (didn't have LeafsTV to watch this game, but say the highlights right after) said it was possibly the most entertaining game they've ever watched at the ACC.

- The Leafs registered over 50 shots for the first time since 1997.

- You'll be seeing Mats Sundin parading the Stanley Cup down Yonge st. on a sunny day a couple months from now, surrounded by over a million Leafs fans.

Final Score: 6-5.

Yeah because they haven't BEEN IN THE PLAYOFFS the last 7 or 8 years while the Devils have been good.

If the Devils actually had home-ice advantage I'd pick them to win...the problem here is that a Rangers-Devils playoff series is essentially 7 Rangers home games

Kinda fancy the Devils and Brodeur to go a long way to be honest. The lack of support has never been a problem in the past and I think they are one of 3/4 teams peaking at the right time.

I reckon it will be Ottawa v Devils in the East finals (unless someone points out that they meet before then).

Detroit in 6
Dallas in 5
Calgary in 7
San Jose in 7

Ottawa in 6
Carolina in 6
New Jersey in 7

There's no way Ottawa and NJ can face each other until the conference finals because Ottawa can't play anyone higher than the #4 seed in round 2 (NJ is the #3 seed).

If Ottawa advances they play the lowest-seeded team who makes it out of round 1

Lol. All I can say is Martin Brodeur. He's one of VERY FEW goalies in the entire playoffs with any significant amount of playoff experience.

Does anyone own an NHL jersey, to wear casually? What size should I get relative to what size I usually wear?

Got my Redwings jersey today, its fucking massive! Probably a bit too big but cant be arsed sending it back so took the tags off. Will serve well as a "nighty" anyway  :-\

I don't like to bet on my team to win, because that'll seal their fate

However I did put $21 on Sweden to win the World Cup at 40/1 odds...I felt those odds were favorable considering the fact they're in a group with England (who they own) and two teams they should beat in Paraguay and Trinidad & Tobago
