yeah - seems that that I have a good side yet its just this one categorey thats letting me down. not knowing how the scoring work clearly didn't help and I'm not saying the ones at the top worked their sides to get max advantage but its clearly one area thats made a huge difference.
trading my pitching staff???? nonononnoo.  would have been better but I screwed up and let Carpenter go!!! aaaarggg. He was the one player I had purely because of where he came from (New Hampshire) and then I screwed up and let him go free!!! bollocks!

Who do you want to move?

(I might trade Teixeira, if a good offer comes in)

No better than a decent catch in an average game of cricket imo. Certainly not worthy of the wankfest that followed.

Quite happy to offload Dontrelle, Rolen and a closer in exchange for a top notch player.

Raptor - proposal sent.

Wright's catch wasn't bad, especially given his struggles in the field.  Stud of a hitter though.

totally agree with the words of phil now, having seen it - completely backs up the point i made above - so he caught it over his shoulder with one hand - big fucking deal - cricketers take catches like that week in week out to be honest, and the whole myth of 'barehanded' takes another step forward...

get a grip, yanks :)

haha, well, produce some footage of some cricket catches, it's not like I get that shit piped in over here on ESPN?  I'm just saying, in terms of baseball catches, it was a great catch...

But I'd love to see some footage of some cricket catches...

Always nice to trade with your friends Raptor.  ;)

Big Hank is knocking the ball around well lately but other than that, I can't see why anyone would want to get rid of A-Rod and Grudzielanek with how many points they produce.

Pavona is just ugly in every sense of the word and Rolen won't do anything this season.

That trade won't go through anyways due to the trade deadline restrictions. I have however, for today lifted the two day waiting period so any other trades taking place from now on today should go through.

Hey Mark, glad you got to a game. We've been absolute shit lately I'm sorry to say but I hope that you still enjoyed yourselves. Those are good seats! You have to keep you eye out when you sit in that section or you could wind up with a black eye thanks to foul-ball.

They played shit but the experience was definately one to savour. I love Petco Park, I hear the seats are wider than the average stadium seat!?

Am absolutely knackered as I write this. Up at 6.00 yesterday morning, 4 hour flight to Chicago, 3 hour wait, 8 hour flight to Manchester, 1 hour wait for baggage, 1 hour and a half drive back home and then we had to unpack all of our 5 cases (we had to buy another one because of all the stuff we bought!). Then take into account the 8 hour time difference. The jetlag is going to kill me :)

It was all worth it tho. San Diego's one of the nicest cities in America.

Yeah Petco is a great baseball park. Could have done with a better sponsor though (Western Metal Park, *some beer name* Park....anything but Petco  :-\ ) but I always have a great time there. Glad you got a chance to visit and the weather has definitely cooperated! I went to the series vs the Mets so I didn't end up going to any of the games vs the Phillies.

Think it's out of reach for me by now, especially after you snap up Nick Johnson and Huston Street before I could get them.

Had Johnson sat on my DL for 2 weeks whilst Shelton was actually managing to hit that little thing called a ball.

Traded him off and decided to stick with Shelton, then thought that Johnson was the better player of the two and went back for him.

Huston Street, I wasn't originally going to have and I was going to keep Sosa of the Braves. Then saw that he was closer for the A's and I'm thinking he might have one or two opportunites before the end of the season.

Can we all just have a quick laugh at Phil - for leaving a pitcher (B Myers) who managed to score 26.90 points yesterday on the bench!!!

You will not believe how hard I laughed at that in Phil's living room today when he told me about that - funniest thing I've heard all week I think! ;D
Fuck off.
