The Creeps. So bad it's almost good. A film about scientists genetically engineering classic horror monsters (Dracula, Frankenstein's monsters, etc), only for them to emerge early... as midgets. The film is notable for a scene where a lady gets somewhat intimate with her copy of Jane Eyre. Bizarre.

Honourable mentions go to 10 Things I Hate About You and Mimic.

Not seen Mimic- but I usually love del Toro's stuff so will steer clear- thanks for the warning.
Saw a film once- on VHS, must have been about twenty years ago. The premise was the usual'ancient burial ground is disturbed and its newly undead interns arise to wreak their gruesome revenge' setup- and of course the drunken old local sherrif was the only thing standing between these nubile teenagers and a grisly fate.
Yes, it was as bad as it sounds.
These 'Toltecs' were finally defeated by the aforementioned sherrif (did I mention he was a master with a bullwhip) who faced off with the king Toltec and defeated him with the immortal line: 'Get away from her, you demonic bastard'.
All delivered in a gruff southern drawl......but the whip clearly didn't go within 12 inches of the Toltec.
Still, it didn't stop his arm falling off.

Worst I've seen was a late night thing on ITV, probably a B-made-for-TV-Movie called "Disaster at Silo 7" or something like that.

Was about a nuclear holocost, and the budget was about £4.50 (inflation adjusted naturally)

Can't remember much, just that one guy who was stood next to an atomic reactor when it blew up didn't die

Its a tossup between 8 Mile and Scary Movie 3.

Although Plan 9 from Outer Space gets an honourable mention, its in the so bad its good category, ffs, the lead actor died during filming, Bella Lugosi, so they replaced him with a a guy who just held a cape over his face for the rest of the film, the character if i remember was a vampire from outer space.

Independence Day was pretty appalling.

It's a tough category, as there are so many crap straight-to-video films around.

Most things with Madonna in are a good place to start.

Exactly. It's unfiar to compare a huge-budgeted blockbuster- which happens to be shite- to some shonky shoestring budget DTV crapfest.
I think it's down to the level of expectation when you pay for your ticket/pick up the case. For example, I chose Final Destination 2. Now-for what it is- it has some suspense, and the various deaths are certainly gruesomely inventive and memorable. But for me it's one of the worst films because my mate's late arrival meant that we missed our original choice that night, and -having promised my missus we'd sit in the gallery- i ended up shelling out £18 on a film I might possibly consider giving Blockbuster (for this was pre-Lovefilm) a meagre £3 for on a wet Tuesday evening...........
So if It had come on Sky one day and there was nothing else on, fair do's. But to hand over the best part of £20 for that clag..............

but the worst Ive ever seen (girlfriend got it out on video)...cant remember name but its a white girl who learns to dance to hiphop or something......recent film.....not a violent man but i couldve hit the love of my life(though obviously never would) for making me waste an hour and half of my life on this shit......
