Charlton ticket stubs.....
« on: March 31, 2002, 04:40:55 pm »
Didn't manage to get to the game yesterday, so I am wondering if any one who went up would be willing to post me some Charlton stubs (ideally after 3).  I'm trying to think ahead for our title decider against Ipswich  ;) .  I will be going to Blackburn and Derby so will not need stubs from those games but wiould like Charlton ones as I don't know which game the ticket office is going to ask for stubs from (if any).

Cheers, Chris.  ;D

To tell you the truth I would be surprised if they asked for stubs for the Ipswich game.  If they were then tickets won't go on sale online (like they didn't for the manc and Everton games) Oh and Blackburn and Derby stubs will NOT be used if it does go to stub sale.  These games are played AFTER the first day of sale for the Ipswich game.

Oh ok, thanx for the advice.  Thought they might of asked for stubs due to the likely importance of the game.

Cheers, Chris.

well it is 18 days till first day of sale so still plenty of time for the Ticket Office to devise a new way of srewing the ticketing up.

Surely they wont use league stubs for it tho - its more likely to be 2 or 3 Champions League ones innit??

sorry- you missed my point. Cant see any league game needing stubs. Only stubs will be for CL i reckon.

But on the subject of loyalty/ stubs etc I am very confused about the mancs away (if we reach there). Club should award away tickets to the ETC. But that would mean, say, your casual punter who may have done one european away and 3 or 4 home league games getting priority over the season ticket holder ( a cardinal sin !) I have simplified it but you know what i mean.

???

I think it should be ST holders, not ETC.  There are people who go away in Europe and hardly any of the mundane home games.  It is quite important, as it could effect the nature of support the team gets at Old Trafford if we end up there.

I know we don't get many tickets, but if we get to Old Trafford what about half and half?  Half the tickets to ETC holders and half to season-ticket holders.  OK, some people will qualify twice, but there might be less moaning that way.

Where do we stop? 1/2 & 1/2 for BL next week? 1/2 & 1/2 for the next game at the Nou Camp- got to be next season at this rate. This is Europe. Some clubs are closer to one another than some.
Some people at the ticket office must be losing sleep about this already!

Roger it's pretty obvious where you would draw the line.  We haven't had this situation in modern times - playing an English team in Europe.  Obviously away matches at Leverkusen and Man United are different situations.

Should go to ETC deffo, its a European match innit!
If we get to Hampden then i'd hope that the tickets for that would go to ETC (as long as the list has been suspended still!!)!
