Similar to a previous post, but there's nothing wrong with getting people excited.
LIVERPOOL VS AS ROMA……………….LETS TURN UP THE HEAT
All new Liverpool fans are fortunate in the respect that they have been born in to, or for whatever reason follow the ups and down, of a football club which is honoured to have and is greatly esteemed with a wonderfully illustrious European history.
And all the older Liverpool fans are very fortunate to have actually witnessed or be able to remember first hand, our famous European glories.
Whichever category you fall in to, one fact remains the same. We all support a football club esteemed with European pedigree. A football club, which is held in such high regard and respected all over the globe by rival football supporters.
In this sense, we are all nothing short of extremely fortunate.
It is not as though we as fans have not played our part, far from it. From Famous nights against Inter or St Ettiene to nervous penalty shootouts in Rome, our fans have largely been magnificent. The support our players get at Anfield on these famous European occasions cannot be found wanting. Be it the travelling Kop or Anfield in full voice, it must be such an amazing feeling to run out in front of Liverpool fans on a European night. We just get that SPECIAL feeling on a European night. The anticipation is just so intense. The singing of YNWA is almost magical when in unison and the hairs on the back of your neck stand up on end as a shiver travels down the back of your spine.
It all seems to make sense on a European night. The emotional attachment, the hours of standing or sitting on terraces, your every LFC related thought, the passion, frustration, imagination, hunger and enthusiasm builds up to a peak until you just know why you could never support another football club.
I know you will be all able to relate to this. Even if your in a foreign country or a Liverpudlian in exile somewhere miles away. Whether you’ve been to Anfield once or a million times, whether you watch the game from the heart of the Kop or on teletext. You all can understand that feeling of a special European night.
It just fills us all with so much enthusiasm and excitement.
We are one of the biggest forces in European football. We have won no less than 4 European cups. We are one of Europe’s elite’s. We are a ship which as sailed the seas and captains Bill, Bob, Joe et al have conquered the globe and brought back silver.
Respected, admired, successful and having made many friends along the way we command the same magnitude of respect and sit on top of the world with Milan, Real, Ajax and Bayern.
ALL other English clubs don’t even come close.
Liverpool Football Club are simply very special indeed.
It is with our illustrious past in mind that we are about to embark on the next chapter of our European adventure.

The Location = ANFIELD
The Game = LFC VS AS ROMA
The signifigance = A place in the last 8 of the WORLD'S GREATEST club competition.
What is it about Roma eh?? Back to Anfield once more and with revenge on their minds. Revenge for 1984? Revenge for 2001? After all, we always win in Rome.
If you are one of the fortunate 44,000 to be there on the night you will know what to do. We must unite as one voice, and urge the ball in to the Roma net.
It looks as though we’ll need 2 goals. A tough task, but one we can achieve with the Kop in full voice. Auxerre all over again.
This is it. The world is watching. A gladiatorial feast of football.
The Romans are there to be conquered. We will knock down those men from the Coliseum and march on to Hampden in May.
Lock stock and barrel, the Kop will converge on Hampden and make it number 5.
But each and every one of us must stand up and be counted as we enter the climax to the season. If someone is not singing next to you, stand up and sing up twice as loud to make up for it.
The Mosaic will add the colour, we must add the noise. We are a club built for Europe.
We are Liverpool Football Club, a famous European night awaits us.
Lets turn Anfield, the home of football in to a fortress once more.
A SEA OF RED HAPPINESS AND A FOREST OF SWAYING FLAGS IN A COULDREN OF NOISE.
For the 96 who should be there and for all those red hearts around the globe who would love to be in your shoes even for just one second.
Lets make the Romans fear us. A wall of constant noise which will leave them scared in to sweating submission.
Show the world what it means to support LFC.
WHAT WE ACHIEVE IN LIFE, ECHOES IN ETERNITY.
LETS TURN UP THE HEAT.
WALK ON RED MEN, OUR DESTINY AWAITS US.
YNWA.
