*Tries hard to think of reasons to vote against Draex*

This is a really tough one to be honest.

Very very tight game, I’d say the only difference is Klinsmann had a better individual tournament 96 captaining Germany as winners vs Crespo who had a good tournament but went out early.

Might be wrong but didn’t Klinsmann have injury of form issues and missed quite a lot of game time? I know Bierhoff got the goal in the finals and Kuntz (!) in the semi. Did he do much before then?

I like how Hazell has a couple of partnerships in there that he can show worked ‘in real life’. Vieira and Gilberto is a grown up midfield pairing.Chamot and Ayalashipped a few to England and the Netherlands but is a proven partnership. Nice selection policy, well thought through and deserves rewarding. By the way, Rivaldo and Kluivert played together at Barca and combined brilliantly didn’t they?

Kudos to Draex for picking Chilavert. Knew someone would! A set piece threat! He’s captured a few unexpected star of the tournament types in Baros, the Greek lad and even Materazzi.

Good battle, like all the ties so far.

Two great sides. I was originially leaning towards Hazell because of the synergy between his teammate picks. At first glance I thought the Chamot-Ayala partnership was a masterstroke, but having double checked Chamot played LB for that entire tournament and wasn't always a starter either. So in the spirit of the draft, I had to give it to Draex.

Dang.

Well done Draex :)
