Yep, they've been less than convincing in the Europa knock-outs.

2-0 behind against Qarabag twice (it also took them 94 minutes to beat them in the group stage in Baku).

West Ham were in the tie until 89 minutes in the second leg.

2-0 down at home to Roma (after winning the first leg away) before coming back.

I'd guess that the toll and exertions of going undefeated in the Bundesliga and the effort/emotions probably played a part in their less than convincing European performances.

Leverkusen have been the standout team in Europe this season in terms of their achievements but weirdly haven't been the best team in the Europa League and been second best for strong periods of each knockout round.

Atalanta have been the best team in the competition. Surprisingly as it was all geared to a Liverpool-Leverkusen final, but Atalanta have caught both cold.

Propably not,there's been rumours on and off but to be honest don't really follow their goings on that closely.
