They don't really - Villa will win their final game.

Good chance Palace beat Villa the way they're playing.

It's all a bit Liverpool-Blackburn in 95, although we had nothing to play for. In the end Blackburn were that crap on the day we were obliged to beat them.

Hurts even more when bernardo gets a jammy deflection 84 minutes in mate.

Yeah you have to go through this pain if you want to have the hope/chance of winning. But a late City winner stings more than an early one, or a stroll for them.

The two things were probably linked. If they absolutely needed to win they probably would have done. Thus missed a last minute penalty that would have won them the league didn’t they?

It would have won them the match, not the league at that point I don’t think.

None were against Ange the high line merchant and no Kane

It is like us at Old Trafford and Goodison though. There are grounds where teams just find it really hard to perform.

I mean if they draw that is in fact the situation isn't it

It would yes. They need a win here.

Whatever happens here I can see West Ham getting a point on Sunday....City look punched out ...and Moyes will want to depart on a high...

It's not a gimme either. I can see a Villa type game from 2022 - it's whether they can get the goals over the two games to see them through.  They never seem to score at Spurs.

Am I wrong to want the cheats to win so that they win the league and that klopp is the only manager to have won the league during this city run?

Remember 2014 when City went to Villa just after our loss to Chelsea.

Was 0-0 at half time then as well.

Finished 4-0 I think.

Honestly they’ll win comfortably, I’d be stunned if they didn’t.

Same, mate. 2019 didn't fuck me up as bad as it. Never forget going into the ground saying that I wasn't gonna let myself believe and just thank the lads for the season and see them off to Paris.

2-0 down @ Villa and I got sucked in....devastation. I've genuinely not been the same since.

From memory, City's away form has been dodgy this season, and they've let players go who they so far haven't managed to replace.

It would have won them the match, not the league at that point I don’t think.

We finished 1 point behind them didn’t we? So had they won that they’d have been 3 ahead going into the last game and presumably with the better goal difference. Maybe not ‘officially’ won it though.

Also remember City having a game against Newcastle in 2012. Think it was the penultimate game of the season.

0-0 at HT too. Toure producing once again to win it for them.

They still have Bernardo Silva, De Bruyne, Foden and Haaland. Gvardiol has been scoring a lot lately as well.

Second best that game as well until he stepped up.

The luck they've had time and again in the last week of the season has to run out sooner or later. Sadly it wasn't in 2022. They've not lost one actual title race in the PL.

Two nil for Spurs.
First goal rattles them, quick second follows.
