This kind of post is hugely fucking insulting and disrespectful to Jurgen and the players.
...and the fans that sacrifice much more than just the price of a ticket to push the team on twice a week, home and away

No idea how we played that bad. We haven't been brilliant in the last couple of weeks, but that was something else. To me it seemed like a combination of lack of energy/urgency, and a lack of ideas. Gasperini got his tactics spot-on, but its crazy how we couldn't adapt better.

Notwithstanding how shite we where..the crap atmospheres..or economics of ticket prices....what tonight really showed...and this is the 'elephant in the room' of our season..we cant keep clean sheets
A quick glance I think its 6 in past 22 games since Boxing day..first hslf of season not much better.

Can we score at Atalanta?..yes!...can we score three YES!!...Four?..Yesss!...keep a clean sheet?....probably not , no.

I mean I’m not sure about us putting four goals past anyone at the moment, like.

For the sake of the manager who has given us so much, to choose to protest in one of his most important matches is just a low blow.
The negative energy transmitted to the players and it showed in their performance. Those flags are a sign of celebration and the players feed on that.

The supporters' group who did this undermined the team tonight.

It's a huge issue and we've been blessed with incredible saves from both our keepers this season.
Normally we're brilliant otherwise.  Tonight we were shite In every respect

If the lads who pay for the flags and attend matches are so important then why the fuck are the Club trying to take even more money out of their pockets.

We did our usual thing of giving away a massive chance early on but Kelleher saved it with his face.

We've been poor for a while and the results have caught up with our performances.

This is it, we look amateurish at the back. I'm not sure how considering the individual talent we have but every game we play, you can see easy chances unfolding in slow motion in front of you and our defence don't seem to see them coming at all.

Simply put, you can't win the biggest trophies when you defend like we do.

Carragher saying we should effectively throw the second leg by playing a 2nd string and put all our chips on the League. I doubt if Klopp will take that view though, no such thing as a lost cause especially with 90 minutes to play.

Surprised to see all the talk is about protests/atmosphere. Probably the last thing that went wrong tonight. Thought everyone was fucking crap (Jota looked lively when he came on which is a plus) and the manager saved one of his worst ever team selections for the final two months of his reign. So fucking disappointing. If we can end up pinpointing the season derailing in the past four days I'll be absolutely gutted with the way it's played out. I look at that period in April a couple of years back when we were winning big games every few days and think of how different it feels now where there's a lot of big games I just don't fancy us in.

I think the Europa League is all about how much you want to win it. Last season Sevilla got knocked out of the Champions League then dropped into it, and I think every single team they played were objectively better teams than them. Of course they've had this strangely brilliant relationship with the tournament where they've looked near unbeatable at times but they won the competition last year through sheer will/determination/need to win it. I see no other explanation tonight other than one team looking like they wanted it and another looking like it was just something they couldn't be doing with. And I hate putting every defeat down to lack of determination, it usually annoys me. I see it tonight though. I'm amazed how we've thrown this away and it'll sting well beyond May if we don't win the title.

Bit moany but how can't you be disappointed at that. I thought arrogance landed us in this competition this season and I think it's put us out. We need about a million chances to score and have the ability to concede out of nothing despite having a couple of really top drawer players at the back. It sounds bizarre because Klopp has obviously been the man who's taken us to the very top level for a good number of years but you have to believe we can improve in both boxes the way we look at times. Just fucking do better on Sunday.

That was a horrible performance. I would say though yeah we haven't been at our best lately sure. But I think this game is an outlayer in so that we didn't create much either which we have in games prior. So hopefully in that sense this game was a blip.

We look leggy and a little mentally shot, think the United game has left them in doubt.

Need a massive response on Sunday or it could be season over.
We've been like that since the cup semi against Utd I'd say, even earlier. And I'm not sure we're even as good as our league position has had us believe this season. It's still a team with it's best years ahead of it hopefully, with quite a few new signings and young players featuring this season. They're not the finished article.

What's the best side we've beaten this season? Villa in the league, Arsenal in the cup? Couldn't beat Man Utd or Spurs (yet). We've been beating dross in the EL and getting by with just bullying teams in the PL with our attacking options. Now we're struggling on that front and getting found out a bit. Some of the newer players might be struggling with the intensity of a long season playing Klopp style football.
We're a team that has yet to master the art of just winning tight, low scoring football matches, like the '19/20 vintage did. We don't keep many clean sheets, often concede first and rely heavily on late goals.

Could be a real anti-climax to the season unless they can turn it around. And if it is, they'll still deserve a lot of credit because I think they've still performed beyond expectations. Jota, TAA and Bajetic coming back might breathe new life into them. And if not, there's always next season. Life goes on after Jurgen.

Having said that, I wouldn't put it past them beating Atalanta 3-0 next week either. Atalanta were up for their big night at Anfield and played well, but they're not Man City all of a sudden. We'll see what they're like at theirs if we can score first and put them under pressure. You never know with us in Europe.

Mo's goal is an inch offside, their 3rd was an inch onside. Two inches but a world of difference between 2-1 and 3-0. We ended up with a terrible result by chasing what would have been just a bad result when not playing well. We live in hope, it's not the end of the world. Maybe tonight will be like a cleansing of the soul and help free them from whatever seems to be ailing them right now.

To be fair, if the league was still in our own hands, he'd have a point. But we need Arsenal to drop points. So, as usual, he's talking absolute bollocks.

For the sake of the manager who has given us so much, to choose to protest in one of his most important matches is just a low blow.
The negative energy transmitted to the players and it showed in their performance. Those flags are a sign of celebration and the players feed on that.

The supporters' group who did this undermined the team tonight.
I could be wrong. It's just an opinion. But I felt that the energy was not so much about negativity, but complacency. Too many thought we'd not only walk it tonight, but also walk to Dublin and lift the trophy.

The protest was not ideal given the importance of the game, but the result was fairly and squarely on the players and manager tonight. We fucked up. It happens. That performance is not on the fans or their protest.

Talk about hitting rock bottom. That was just fucking awful. Gotta lift ourselves off the floor in a hurry.

Chops, for full disclosure I have repeatedly nominated you as our next gaffer in the post Klopp thread.

I'm also blaming Chopper for not wearing a scarf, the c*nt. That was the decisive factor for the performance and loss, on reflection!

Guys, being fully transparent, motivation is where I do my best work. Truth be known , I’m quite sought after on the motivational seminar circuit. No scarves, no gimmicks , no nothin - just good honest wholesome motivation, to tap into.

@ Veinticinco de Mayo The way you talk to other users on this forum is something you should be ashamed of as someone who is suppose to be representing the site.

We’re more than capable of turning this tie round if we bring our A game in Italy.

They've a good home record, don't lose often. It'll be exceptionally difficult to turn this around. If they bring loads of flags, we are fucked!

Even Klopp blamed Chopper in his post-match interview.

I reckon we all go round to Chopper's place and batter him with our scarves then stick his pin badge where the sun don't shine.
