Much better in the second half, but still needed Kelleher to be at his best to keep us ahead.

Elliott was different gravy when he came on, and great that the front 3 all scored. Won't live long in the memory but the 3 points are forever.

Job done never in doubt. How Jota didn't get a penalty that first half i'll never know simply criminal.

Some of the comments in here at half time good fuckin lord why do some of you bother i swear some are hoping we fail so they can complain.

Soccer - let's face it, its not really about a game of ball anymore is it?

Wonder where the HT idiots are.

We were poor first half but some of the abuse was bizarre.

Elliott and Jones were fantastic.

Endo and Mac plus Quansah and Virgil played well.

Not sure who my MOTM was…..between Mac and Jones for me and I’ll go for Jones.

Kelleher made some good saves when it was 2-1.

This week off is a god send. It could be the last for sometime so fingers crossed we get a few back and Trent’s not injured.

Really good response second half, led by Elliott really. Each of the forwards bagged a goal too.

Can’t complain, all about the 3 points today

Good second half. Poor first half pretty much sums it up.

Odd that ‘arrogant’ was the explanation from some folk at halftime. Maybe it’s just tough sometimes and levels dip.

Not sure why there was so much grump at half time, thought we were ok and the better team.

2nd half, blew em apart, as expected.

Need a few more clean sheets, 5 from the last 16 (start of December) is not what you would expect from these lads, but injuries and tournaments have not helped of course.

Great second half display from Elliott. Jota on it all game, Darwin?? What can you say that hasn't been said? Wasteful? Offside? But Bloody wonderful engine, committed and got his goal. Not our best but We're Top!

3-1!
We got the job done. Was worried for a while. Burnley had some quality chances. Thankfully Kelleher was there and theit finishing skills were not. At the other end our attackers had those finishing skills. We were the better side and in the end we got the three expected and deserved points. Liked what I saw from Elliott (again) and impressed with Jones' ability to change roles. Today he played the second half at RB. Top of the league!

Job done. Tricky set of circumstances leading into it, but thought we did well. It can’t be Chelsea every week. It wouldn’t surprise me if a couple more of those players were suffering from ill health - Nunez looked goosed on every close-up.

I know this the luke-warmest of hot takes, but some utter shite in the half-time thread. The misery in there is so depressing, they can’t enjoy football.

And talking of joyless bastards, that referee just gave every slight touch across the board, not sure any of those yellows were yellows.
Some absolute whoppers in the HT thread, like little spoilt kids who aren't getting their way.

Drove me a bit mad in the first half (credit to Burnley too). Silly equaliser to give away. Improved in the second half everywhere. Fair dues to Kelleher, Curtis as well, had an excellent second half. Elliott as ever was a difference maker when he came on. Endo did Endo, Macca stuck at it. Robbo got better as the game wore on. Individually I thought the defence played well, not so sure collectively at times. Likewise the forwards were hit and miss. Weird and wonderful game. delighted with the 3 points. With illness and injuries and the usual disruption these days you gotta take it. The mission before the game started was to win. They won.

Harvey Elliott = game changer extraordinaire. Fabulous second half from him, he was clearly given a free role and Burnley didn't know what the fuck to do about him. Brilliant tactical change from the big man that opened up the whole game for us.

Overall a significant improvement in the second half, much more energy and drive about the team. Didn't think Curtis would make a good stand-in right back but shows what I know about football. Trent must have been feeling something in that first half, but the change worked like a charm. Diaz really stepped up as well, and the goal so quickly in to the second half really set the tone I think. Darwin's header was possibly one of the hardest to pull off but he made it look sublime. Shout out also to Jarell for being solid, and the world's best sub goalie for making crucial saves that allowed us to keep the result.

But hey, they all stood up after a pretty shoddy first half and did the business in a bit of style too, fair play to the lads. Job done, top of the league, fuck off Abu Dhabi FC. Next.

Not sure about that. It was a shockingly poor home performance for the first 25 mins against the second-worst side in the league, but all's well that ends well.

Don't know what people expected in the circumstances. Was always going to be disjointed today.

We were playing a Championship side at home which was enough for us to get the result without needing to massively up the gears and they were going to raise their game.

Odd that ‘arrogant’ was the explanation from some folk at halftime. Maybe it’s just tough sometimes and levels dip.

To criticise the performance today without acknowledging the depletion of the squad requires such a strange mindset. Some people just relish misery. Seriously undercooked squad today, major injury/illness issues and we've got a win to put us back on top of the league. Lovely stuff.

Yes a ban that we don’t need. Most of his yellows are down to him kicking the ball away and he really should not be doing that no matter how frustrated he is.

Watched the City v Everton game before, & even though Haaland gets the goals his all round game is pretty non-existent compared to Nunez's. Not his best game today, but he's still a nightmare for opposition defences.
