Said it the other day, if we didn't drag ourselves into the title race 3rd place and a trophy would have been nice. The ending of this season and the disappointing ending to Klopp's tenure will make it one a lot will be keen to see the back of. My overall emotion with this season will forever be disappointment. People can feel free to have different outlooks but from the middle of March onwards it's been fucking horrible. I don't think we've beaten a really good side all season bar Arsenal in the cup. Look at the effort it took to turn that Newcastle game round in August, where's all that gone? Is it loss of energy? I feel it can't be honestly.
We've been the third best side this season, reflective of our ability of currently being the third best side. Argue with it all you want but it's true. I think we've got a lot of things to improve if we're to challenge at the top end of both the major competitions in the next few years, and I think that'd be the case even if Klopp had stayed, of course he looks fucked though and it's the right decision for him to move on. If Michael Edwards can oversee the creation of another great side, honest to god, he'll go down as one of the most influential people to walk through the doors of the club.
