I think you win the league if you win tomorrow.

Momentum,  league state, the last dance - everything swings your way.

Massive, massive game

Can't find the lad who tweeted this earlier but;

A win tomorrow against City and a win at home after the break vs Brighton puts us 7 points clear of City and 5 clear of Arsenal before they face off against each other with 9 games to go.

If I didn't feel sick before...I do now  :puke2

Too far out for anything to be decided tomorrow. But it is as you say a massive game and even though we’re ahead of them for a change it still feels like we need to win. Just feels like a draw might prove costly

And this shows why a win is so massive. We can still win the league with a draw obviously but you get so few chances to directly impact your rivals.

Jurgen Klopp's Liverpool deserves a victory today. C'mon footballing gods, sort it.

Exactly. After so many years of heartbreak, it's got to happen.
It wouldn't be Liverpool if we didn't do it the hard way... ask Gareth Southgate.

I can't envisage any team going 4 or 5 clear in this race, and our record against the top 6 isn't amazing this season.

Genuinely have no idea how the game will go.

I'd be wanting them to draw that leaving us 6 and 4 clear - that would be a nice position although assuming then both win from here on out (long shot of course) then we could still only afford one out of a draw OR a loss in the remaining 9

So 10 games left. Level on points with Arsenal but effectively a point behind because of their superior GD. We've also got City out of the way which is always a plus.

Toughest games left are United (a), Everton (a), Spurs (h), Villa (h). I think we'll need 9 wins and a draw. Arsenal will drop points but not that many. Same with City.

This somehow feels like the weakest City side Pep-era, even the season we finished 18 points ahead.

We are lightyears ahead of the other two, had 15 points ripped off us by officials and been injury ravaged all season, it would be over already in normal circumstances.

Corruption is all that can stop us, normal football games and we win it no bother.

I know we can feel justifiably aggrieved, but let’s shake that off as quickly as possible. There’s 10 games to go and the indisputable fact is….we are RIGHT in the mix.

I believe in Jürgen and all these lads, even more so after today.

The same people that were doubting before the game will still find negatives.

It's not a bad result (even though IMO we should have won). Now we go into the 2-week break in a decent position. Beat Brighton next and we're likely to end the GW on top because I don't see Arsenal beating City.

I think 8 wins and 2 draws may be possible, but that depends very much on what City vs Arsenal is.

The five home games are a given. West Ham and Fulham away will be tough but have to win. Everton, Yernited and Villa. Think we need 2 wins and a draw from that lot.

Probably unlikely to go down to GD, but still something we should try to look to address if possible, given the firepower we have.

Not how football works. Man yoo could be bottom and going there would still be tough. Same with Everton. We’re better than both, doesn’t guarantee anything.

Key word is "can". It's improbable.

After the next GW, then we can analyse the run-in in details. This weekend was just the first leg.

We're one game away from Wembley and we can get a favourable draw.

The people that said the league cup didn't matter really enjoyed us winning it. Every trophy matters. We'll get players back after the break and our depth is looking good.

Out of ten, how many times will Arsenal win?

I reckon 2. 3 for a draw and 5 for a City win.

We are good enough to win all of our remaining games. Get some players back after the international break, get a bit of luck with injuries going forwards and we can do it.

Ideally we can manage all the games left but just saying would rather we focused on the last 10 league games.

Yeah but it's a one off. City are a bit underwhelming and Arsenal are flying. That being said they do have a massive inferiority complex at the Etihad so there's that.

Doubters to believers. What have you seen that indicates that we can't compete on different fronts? "Focusing on the league" doesn't guarantee anything.

The young lads that have come through have given us good depth.

The chances I stated relate to the one-off game they have next. 8 times out of 10, Arsenal won't win.

Correct me if i'm wrong,

our next PL game is against Brighton, which happens before the City vs Arsenal game.

So if we beat Brighton and Arsenal drop points, we're back on top of the league, and that'd be a good starting point.
