Got some very winnable games coming up, if we play how we usually do then this will be quickly forgotten

1-3. They deserved the win. It’s just a shame we gifted it to them with the dreadful play by VVD and Alisson for the second goal. The two of them rarely make mistakes, but today they did and it cost us.

We were second best all over the pitch, Arsenal deserved their win. Wouldn't mind so much but Arteta makes them so unlikeable and you'd think they'd gone 3 points top of the league how they're celebrating.

I don't think it changes too much for us, throws the advantage to City but we have to play them at Anfield which I think we'd need to win anyway. Just thought we were poor everywhere today and we had zero luck outside of that handball which went in.

Dreadful performance. However, that's our toughest remaining away game done now. It's not a terminal defeat. We're top of the league. Plenty of points still to play for. We won't be that bad again.

Ultimately it's just our second loss of the season. The first was due to catastrophic refereeing - this one was down to catastrophic mistakes by our pillars. Get our missing players back, regroup and go again. Nothing is lost. Shit performance, but still all to play for.

That was a very bizarre performance from us! We probably needed our best performance of the season and actually got our worst. It's like we couldn't be arsed! 1 shot on target and only 11 tackles.

Everything was so slow from us, even the first minute or 2 the sloppy slow passes set the tone. Diaz and Gakpo offered nothing. Really missed bradley which is crazy to say after such a short time in the team. Anyways, onwards and upwards.

This is pretty much it in a nutshell. The players need to recover now and go again next weekend, maybe some training time is needed after all these matches in a short period.

We were just off right from the beginning of the match. TAA constantly outdone by Martinelli again.

Got back into the match but that 2nd goal is just inexcusable. You simply can’t do that when we’re in a title race.
Didn’t deserve anything really.

Huge lift for City and Arsenal but as we’ve seen every single year in a title race there will be many twists and turns yet.

Just a dreadful performance all round. There wasn't a single aspect of that where you would say was remotely close to our normal standard. No intensity, incredibly sloppy in defence, no good movement and no chances created.

You might get away with one shocker like that a season. But it leaves us with no margin for error now. It's win or bust in pretty much every league game until May now. We're in a hole of their own making after that display.

I have no idea. Was Gabriel on a yellow at the time. It was exactly the same type of challenge but the referee just ignores it which made Nunez react.

Konate’s first yellow was a joke as well. He was the one being pulled and then when he outmuscled the player he gets a yellow.

However the big problem was given away such a stupid goal. VVD lets the ball bounce when he should have cleared it then bumps into Alisson and makes him miss his kick. We were on top at the time and were more likely to score.

VVD was far too slow covering for their third goal and his deflection put it through Alisson’s legs.

VVD needed to be stronger for both goals but he did have a good game other than that.

Agree with you, we were fucking awful but there is sooooo much to play for and it’s still pretty much in our hands. A win would have been massive but a defeat does not mean the world is about to end. Plenty to play for, get it out of your systems, Klopp to give em a much needed kick up the ass and we go again.
