One goal in four matches. What an exciting evening!

Football is in mourning.

I really don't get this. I can only assume it's because people have been sleeping on Bayer Leverkusen this season.

I get the lack of experience thing, but if anyone was doing to Leverkusen what Alonso is currently doing they would be the front runner for a job at a club like Liverpool. His association with us is secondary to that.
He’s been very impressive, but he’s four points clear and it’s January. At the minute, that is his best achievement as a manager.

When we appointed Klopp, he had won back to back league titles with Dortmund, a domestic cup and finished runner up in the Champions League.

Ancelotti was also available and nobody needs to hear his CV.

I love Alonso and he’d probably be my favourite choice too, I just think there’s a drastic step down in quality when you consider who we were looking at in 2015.

They were both on Merseyside at the same time and socialized, families became friends.

Guardiola man-handling the 4th official, putting his arm round him and patronising the fuck out of him.  Why does that tosser never get elbowed in the face by an official?!

I feel that might hinder the chances of the official getting his booking on a UAE jolly.
£25k for a week's seminar training UAE football officials, very nice.

He better not go all season undefeated though, he has to lose 1 game to Jurgen ;)

A Bundesliga title and finishing runner up in the UEFA Cup, would still be impressive.  ;)

But we would have hired Klopp much, much earlier than we did if we could have.

Not denying the 2015 selection had better, or shall we say more experienced candidates. However, you've also got to remember that back then we were in an absolute mess, so the idea of someone coming in and improving us wasn't that hard to imagine. Now, everyone is going to feel like a drop off to what we have, regardless of what they have on their CV.
And if the rain stops, and everything's dry.. she would cry, just so I could drink tears from her eyes.

The majority of managers will be a step down in comparison to Klopp!

A replay for Chelsea and Villa is a good outcome. Wouldn't be the worst in this one either, although Spurs knocking the cheats out tonight would be preferable.

all!

I do get the concern over Xabi though, it’s very early days.  But if Leverkusen end up winning the league and cup as well they could, then he’ll be the hottest property around.
