I reckon Everton will finish somewhere between 12th and 14th and won't even have to worry about relegation. There's simply too much dross below them.

They always get more points than their performances deserve in the league though. The year Ole got sacked and Ragnick came in and was hopeless they were absolutely dreadful all season long but still finished 6th. The Moyes year they finished 6th. They're always stuffy in the PL.
They have the same number of league wins as us now. They're able to get jammy wins away from home while playing like crap.

At least one top 4 rival dropped points anyway. The Mancs and Arsenal were always winning today.

I think they might stay up with a 21 point deduction at this stage! They might only need a regular 40 point season at this rate.

I remember them breaking the record for consecutive away wins under Ole. They were outplayed in most of them.

In theory. They are only 3 points behind us.

In practice, the fact they're a bad football team will see them a long way off I would imagine.

We need our away form to pick up substantially. Can't be dropping points to shit teams like Luton too often. It can't be understated how awful that result is.

Not me. Just pointing out the fact they are only 3 points behind us.

They will probably win only one of the 3 against Everton, Newcastle, and Chelsea. They will also get a slap at Anfield. I suspect they'll be 9-10 points off fourth by New Year's.

It's in my DNA.

What makes it worse is all my family support them and I only see them a few times a year - Christmas day being one of them and we have to play them on Christmas eve. Don't get me wrong I think and hope we will win but can't bear the thought of them getting a bit of form going.

What? They're shite. This was in their top 3 easiest fixtures of the season and they still only scraped a 1-0. They'll be back to making a show of themselves again as soon as they play anyone decent. And there's still a fair chance they finish bottom of their CL group. I'm fine with them beating the shite, cos otherwise the bald fraud is gone before we play them.

That's bizarre. I read the headline only and thought what a shitshow.

https://www.skysports.com/football/news/11095/12981130/premier-league-2023-24-fixtures-dates-schedule-liverpool-host-manchester-united-wolves-vs-chelsea-on-christmas-eve-live-on-sky-sports-in-december
I think the PL aka Sky tried it but got a ton of backlash.  I think the only game on Dec 24th now is the Chelsea-Wolves game

edit: that headline is extremely misleading, the article says we play on 17th.

They have the same number of league wins as us now. They're able to get jammy wins away from home while playing like crap.

Last week was the perfect example of that. Did fuck all and got a goal at the death via defenders kicking it off each other's asses. It was a calamity of errors, which is the exact thing Luton did not do. They played as perfectly as they could ever hope of playing vs us. Not one glaring error at the back.
