Don’t need all these long shots our front three and midfield three are talented enough to go at them

Think we've managed one shot on target so far, which Pickford should have dealt with easily. Really need to up our intensity, we've been sloppy quite a few times in good positions, and we need to discover our shooting boots.

It’s only a matter of time, they can’t keep defending like this for 90 mins and with 1 man less then the goal once scored will kick off many others.

Also TNT sport stream has been utterly dreadful, keeps cutting out, had about 8 or 9 cut outs which isn’t good enough.

Braindead in the final third
Stop shooting from distance and hold the ball higher up the pitch, build  pressure

Anyone seen a reply of the tackle on Jota at the end? Was it reviewed? I normally like McCoist but he can shut the fuck up about harsh.

So what happened at the end there? Jota gets chopped down does it even go to VAR for them to check it, referee blows his whistle straight away. We need to be told as to whether incidents like this even get looked at? Having said that we have been poor in the final third we need to wake up as do the crowd, it's been an awful atmosphere.

It didn’t look a foul in fairness, it looked like he got the ball. The players didn’t appeal either which is telling, only the fans.

Salah not at the races which means we’re struggling in the final third.
As poor a half from Mo as I have seen in a while .
Hopefully second half we turn the screw .

Nothing silly second half and we win this.

Don’t give me he ref an excuse to level it up. Move them around and don’t just sling crosses in. And in case of emergency break glass for Darwin. Could probably bring him in for a midfielder of Tsimikas if we really wanted to push it.

First time in EIGHT YEARS an opposition player has gotten a second yellow against us in the PL. “GOOD PROCESS” indeed.

Very very very sloppy though. So many sloppy touches and passes, should be out of sight already. Should destroy them in the second half but…

What happened to the VAR check there at the end for the Jota foul in the box?

Asked the same question in the commentary. It's not good enough that no one knows if it was even looked at.

Gravenberchs touch is something else. Said it the last month they operate like Dr Octopus’s tentacles. They’ve got a mind of their own. There was a. Moment where he kept the ball in on the touch line at the end of the 39th minute and he was in front of the ball and somehow his feet kept the ball in. Everton got the ball from it but he’s a nuts player. Bit like Zidane in that sense where his feet are just fucking mental

Noticed that. Deserves to be given more starts Ryan, his potential is very exciting.

Szoboszlai has been good but he needs to manage his shot taking. We need to work them side to side and build pressure, not try screamers all the time. Same applies to Trent.

Not been bad. But misplacing too many balls around the box and got dragged down to their level for a bit.

Get into them and there are goals here.

On the international coverage at least they said var was checking and the check was complete.  But then we know what check complete looks like!

I think Trent and Dom are having a bit of a shooting contest between them. Both looking to be the man of the hour with a spectacular goal.

Cue the Dyche wall in the second half, he'll have a back six camped out on the 18 yard line to protect a point. Think this one is crying out for Darwin to come on and stretch their backline, and generally cause chaos. Weird game though, we're almost cracking them but it's the usual 12:30 post-international break stuff for now. I was thinking Alexis was a bit rusty but then he sent in a couple of absolute belters. Ryan is looking super comfortable though for a first start, I'm liking a lot of his movement. We should have enough for this, but it is that lot after all so fuck knows what will happen.

The final ball has been bad, but some of the movement in the box is also not great. That Trent cross should be in the net. Someone needs to be busting a gut to get to the goal there.
