Losing vital wages for the summer months. Unlucky.

Quite poetic that Sunak will get to hammer the nail in the coffin of some people that were planning to stab him in the back to save themselves. Proper power move.

I did something quite impressive this morning, I woke up, had a wash, got dressed, I checked the weather and decided to wear a coat because it was going to rain today.

44 days to go.

https://www.gov.uk/register-to-vote

https://www.gov.uk/how-to-vote/photo-id-youll-need

Don't care who you vote for but vote.

Six week campaign. That's almost as long as 1997. I think that was around 7 weeks?

Just checked. Major called that election on 17 March 1997 and Parliament was dissolved 8 April. Election was 1 May. So exactly the same, 44 days.

IMO 1997 was a different era, nearly 30 years ago. If the electorate were smart enough to vote the Tories out in 2015, we may have had a chance but imo there’s been too much of a shift since COVID to get the economy under any sort of control in the next 5 years. It will be a volatile thing. So my hope is they bring about change in other areas but I don’t expect them to fix the economy. Too big a job. Don’t think it’s a propagating a lie per se.

We don't know what will happen with the economy under a Labour government.

We only know what will happen with the economy under a Tory government.

Labour needs to improve the economy if it wants to deliver any of its agenda for the country.

So stop putting them down before they've even had a chance.

The contrast between the speeches was extraordinary.

One was chaotic, totally disorganised and a disaster, the other was well staged, sensible and punchy.

“Happiness can be found in the darkest of times, if one only remembers to turn on the light.”
“Generosity always pays off. Generosity in your effort, in your work, in your kindness, in the way you look after people and take care of people. In the long run, if you are generous with a heart, and with humanity, it always pays off.”
