Took his chance today, his close control is phenomenal and he was using his body to great effect. If he wants it enough, he's got everything to be a very good player.
I’ve plenty links to the clubs playing and backroom staff as many on here know thank you very much. Fair enough, I admire your optimism. But you’re absolute ostriches if you think this squad, even with 2 or 3 new, “cut price” players with potential get us anywhere close

Had a feeling that knew Koeman was in attendance today. Maybe we should invite him to every home match if that's the effect it has on our Ryan. Marvellous performance today, he just needs this run in the team to build his confidence and get settled.

Some seem to forget hes only starting to settle in game by game.

Also, some seem to forget he was woefully mismanaged by that fucktrumpet Tuchel. Barely played for a year, it wouldn't surprise me if that's impacted his abilities at time as the sharpness wouldn't be there. Even saw Virgil last year took a while to get back to his old self, maybe it took him a year. Add to the fact he's adapting to a new league and it's a tough challenge for Ryan.

But he's coming along fine. Today's performance was yet more progress for him.

The uplift in effort off the ball is clear to see. Hopefully the next manager can keep that going - especially with a proper pre-season. He has incredible quality on the ball.

He absolutely needs to learn this, and is doing. But the way into this Liverpool team for him is an injury to Jones.

Really good performance from him, it seems like he's trying to move the ball quicker and relying on his dribbling only as a last resort. He looks like he could potentially be the most potent midfielder we have in attack so if he gets everything else right he could be huge for us.

Silky performance from him last night. Holds onto it a bit too long at times but that will grow out of him as he gets used to the pace of the league more. Same thing happened with Jones.

He's going to be a hell of a player in a few years.

when you realize he's only 21 year old - you have to understand that it takes time at the age of 21 to figure out certain things. At 21, many players don't have the same skill set as when they are not 21.

If he starts on Sunday in the final I hope we get a lot more out of him than last night.
There, I said it.

You can see he's got more to offer if he choses to.
You can see the space in front of him if he wants to go to occupy it.
You can see the missed opportunities for us to overload the opposition if he decided to drive forward.
You can see he has the stride to get past any player, literally any player if he applies determination.

It's not unreasonable to ask the lad for a cup final performance.

I agree, I thought he was streets better at Brentford than he was last night, where I felt Endo and MacAllister both offered more. He had a reasonable game, but those marginal decisions weren’t quite there.

What I will say is that I’m a huge fan of the lad, have backed him for half a decade now and am still very happy we signed him. The only reservation is that he doesn’t get longer with Klopp, who to me would guarantee that this lad’s career matches his talent.

Agreed i didn't think he played as well as some of the posts above. A lot better second half but he made too many wrong decisions in first half. Still young but we need him to kick on next few weeks.
