Arsenal were too afraid to lose and City were too afraid to play anything that's not 'perfect' football.
I think if this game had been early in the season, a draw away from home would've been a good result for Arsenal and no one would say otherwise. However, with 10 games to go (including today) and the race being so tight at the top, it shows how much Arteta prefers to plays it safe when there's a chance things might go wrong. He didn't want to risk losing 2 points today and on one hand, that's smart. But is that the shrewdness of a potential champion or the insecurity of a team and a manager with a weak mentality? "We haven't got a point there in the last 10 years." Well, that's partly because Arsenal play safe, careful-not-to-lose football there. But a draw with only 28% possession should be considered an achievement, I guess. Personally, a 1-1 or 2-2 draw might give more reason to feel happy with the result, but 0-0 just feels... scared.
