I bet everyone can't wait for us to spend our 250m budget this the summer.

It's too early to be talking about centre backs, we need a season long injury crisis there first.

Who knows if the the PL will indeed punish Man City in any meaningful way, or how long it'll take before any punishments are dished. MC will go to court, right? Might take ages.

What this means for LFC at least is that it makes it sure that Jude Bellingham will NOT be going to MC, if at all they still had chance at this stage.

However long MC might want to prolong (in the courts) the final outcome of their punishments, having been judged to have cheated the rules of the game will be a sour taste to Jude & his family. Already the way he spoke about his view of the game gave an impression that MC was not his "type." In addition, a quick look at the his Dad's twitter timeline reveals a man very much with working class values, and therefore someone who'd favor LFC over MC. The news today of MC being essentially labelled as "cheat" will be final straw for Jude's camp. This is even before MC are handed any transfer embargoes or anything like that. Just the look they now have in football would drive someone like Jude the other way.

With more & more reports that Real were resigned to the fact that Jude wanted to join a club back home in England, the only issue now is how LFC have the money BVB will want for the boy. Only us can screw this Jude-to-LFC deal now.

❗️News #Keita: The 27 y/o is on verge to leave #LFC as a free agent in summer! Contract extension unlikely at this stage. Many clubs are interested to sign him. But he won’t join Galatasaray. His return to 🇩🇪 is not excluded. Regular starter in the last 4 matches. @SkySportDE 🇬🇳

Not very surprising and will probably be the first of many to depart

If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

Good, will free up wages with minimum effort. I like Keita as a player, but he has just never been available enough to play. He needs a new start somewhere else.

Even if Man City are out the way for a bit (wishful thinking) Chelsea are spending more than they ever did anyway.

Excellent, those wages can now be spent on extending Milner and Bobby’s contracts with ease.

And the spring chicken Kante (who probably is worth signing at whatever age, just to make sure he’ll never play against us again).

I think it is it's clear as day that MC are out of the running for Bellingham following this news. You think its wishful thinking? Each to their own.

You'd think Chelsea would have tried for Jude in January when they were paying whatever clubs wanted for the players they want. They've been heavily linked with Rice, always been tentative links to Jude, & almost no links to Jude ever since the World Cup.

I'm interested in the less than 110M comment. In recent months the rumored price for Bellingham has skyrocketed, not least because of the vast sums being paid, or asked for, lesser players.

I wonder if there is some sort of release clause that is obviously not public knowledge, but the club knows about?

Anyway, Man City are now out of the running for Bellingham.

Even the bravado from the Real mouthpieces is turning to "trying but believe he'll go back to England". It must be done to somewhere, likely here otherwise Chelsea would have thrown quarter of a billion at Dortmund in Jan.

I think it's absolutely possible. Adoring fanbase and a stable set up with Dan Ashworth pulling the strings. We're a shambles in comparison. Didn't he say winning means more at certain clubs? Win something for Newcastle and they'll build him a statue.

Newcastle won't get involved in Bellingham, they'll focus on lower tier players for a while and "grow" their revenue streams before committing to the really big names. I wonder if the City news has thrown off their likely plan of setting up a bunch of fake sponsors.
