Better performance than last time. Thiago was class in our midfield. Salah Jota and Diaz were bright sparks in attack. Nunez was disappointing shoulda scored at least 1.

Valuable 3 points in the CL group. Now we get a lengthy break until the next game, just gotta keep goin at it.

Absolutely fucking deserved, well in redmen, looked like a Klopp team again - well done boys.

Positives
•   Urgency and intensity across the team, both in and out of possession
•   TAA’s positioning, keeping the balance and solidifying our right-hand side both defensively and offensively
•   Mo’s goal
•   Thiago’s dynamism in possession playing through the lines and circulating play
•   Matip’s return – our best centre back IMO for the past 12-18months
•   Jota’s return – adds directness in our play in possession breaking lines and looking for the shot
•   Team pressing looks a lot more co-ordinated and front three on the front foot
•   The result

Negatives
•   Defensive lapses once again for Ajax’s first goal TAA not following player and VVD lack of urgency in closing player space down.

Bette finishing and we win that comfortably against a handy team.

Though Thiago and Tsimikas were great, Jota looks good. Nunez needs a goal… or something.

Decent performance and a deserved win. Still so much improvement needed tho, we just don’t create enough chances. I thought Nunez did well, shame he didn’t put his one chance away.

Shame some utter dickheads couldn’t keep their gobs shut and embarrassed the club.

Easily our best performance of the season, created enough chances to win by two goals or more. A weeks rest to prep for Rangers, win the next two and we are set up nicely in the group.

What a difference having a midfield makes, Thiago is simply immense.

Thought we played very well, just couldn't score but we created opportunities and the goals will come.

We thoroughly deserved the win, Ajax falling over, feigning head injuries to get the clock stopped, fuck off back to the Netherlands.

A much needed win and let's hope we get no injuries over the international break and come back strong.

That was a much improved performance, a lot more pressing and effort. Makes such a difference to the game. Should have won 3-4 nil, and would have had confidence been up.

However, don't be fooled, problems are still there and still persist. The midfield is still a problem, Elliott is a fine player, but he is not a midfielder. Defence was better (Tsimikas my MotM, definitely) but still has a ways to go. Up front, they were profligate, needed another late goal to bail them out. I'm sure they will get their shooting boots on soon, but they are still figuring out how to get the best out of Nunez.

That's by the by, a badly needed win. Who cares if they scrape out of the group, as long as they do.

Big relief. Still some issues. I really hate what we're doing on the right hand side with Salah hugging the touchline, Trent playing on their last man, and Elliott playing as an 8, but there are some signs of improvement. Our pressing and intensity was a lot better.

Matip and Thiago were excellent, and Jota looks great considering he didn't even have a pre-season. Having those three back will be huge. Kostas magnificent.

We deserved that. Thiago MOTM followed by Tsimikas.

Our first touch at times was poor and we missed a lot of half chances.

Referee let far too much go. Salah had constantly two hands on him pushing him off the ball. They had a player who dived in the area but no yellow for that. Their players were constantly diving after the merest of touches and feigning head injury when the ball hit the player’s face. Blind moaning about time wasting when they had been at it all match.

We dug in and a great header from Joel.

Richly deserved win that, we dominated them but spurned some really good chances. Kostas, Matip and Thiago were the standouts but that was a much better showing.

Weird game that. Some really good performances, Thiago, Matip and Tsimikas great, but still lack fluidity. That could me an extremely important win, we need a kickstart, hopefully that’s it. Thought Nunez did well when he came on.

Relieved just as I imagine the players are.

Fully deserved win. Two defensive lapses (the 2nd being the Blind header) means we haven't eradicated our problems, but that was so much better with Thiago playing well and the strikers closer together.

Matip makes everything better at the back and his passing is top class. We actually looked like we could press for the first time this season, and if we hadn't decided to hit every effort at the keeper this would have been much more comfortable.

Still, a vital 3 points and we have another mini break to work on the training ground and to get bodies fitter.

100%, guy is unreal, it sounds daft but he has so much time on the ball even when he has none. A drop of the shoulder and he creates that additional yard and he's away.

Fantastic player, we need to keep him fit, don't know how we do it with a game every three days, fingers crossed he doesn't make the Spanish World Cup squad

It was more than ok. We had some really good chances and we absorbed a body blow of an equaliser very well. Lots to be encouraged about.
