Couldn't find a thread for this season, so please merge if I've missed it.

Great win for Lancs this weekend down at Hove after being a long way behind in the first innings, chased down 252 pretty easily.

Irritating that Yorkshire managed to snatch a 1 run win against Northants.

We look to be in control of the group though, should be moving into Division One from here. Parkinson looks in decent nick with the ball.

Nice one. Three wins in a row is promising.

What’s the format here with the three groups? How do they crown an overall winner?

It's a bit convoluted: https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/cricket/56653855

Not sure what the point of Divisions 2 and 3 are, seem a bit dead-rubber. Div 1 champion is the county champion though.

Although they could still lose the ‘final’ which is what the Bob Willis Trophy which is what the ultimate goal should be.

Interesting format though. Two from each group go into Division One but you don’t play the team from your group again, but their points from the games from first group stages count.

Lancs v Yorkshire just started. 4 day game, sun is out, crowds allowed in. Think it might even be on Sky. Is this summer at last?

Nice little feature at Lunch there with Atherton and Bumble chatting, Bumble picking his best Lancs 11 since he was at the club (no overseas players).

He went for:

Atherton (c)
Fowler
Crawley
Fairbrother
Hayes
Flintoff
Watkinson/Chapple (depending on conditions)
Hegg (wk)
Statham
Anderson
Parkinson

Bold pick with Parkinson but he explained his selections well. Nice little watch.

Lancs beat Yorkshire by an innings although with only 40 balls left. Three quick wickets towards the end.

I think Yorky might not have seen this thread sadly.

Lucky, lucky Lancs, screaming at the umpire for everything like another team nearby for every decision.

Won't go back to the first morning. 😉👍

Back at Old Trafford for the opening Blast game today against Derbyshire, it was great to be back in a ground. Good atmosphere in the second innings as we moved towards 5pm and ale had been taken.

Relatively comfortable win for Lancs, always within sight of the target and a fantastic knock from Livingstone - 94no. Great start.

Nice, must have been great to be there. Saw the final few overs, went relatively to the wire but they always looked in control. How many were allowed in?

Worcestershire vs Notts was a cracking match, Worcestershire scored 152 which i didn't think would be enough, certainly looked like it after Notts were something like 1 for 76 after the power play, & the match ended up being a tie.

About a third full, same for the win against Leicestershire on Thursday evening. We look a very controlled side.

Awful from Lancs in the T20 v Notts. Needed 173 to win, were 118-0 and commentators said they were crushing, even when they started to make heavy weather of it. Needed about 35 from the last 4 with 7 wickets in hand. Somehow became 12 off the last over. Somehow became 8 off 2. Then Jennings hit and 6. 2 to win off the last ball and they managed to get run out off the last ball to tie. Chucked it away although actually could have lost at the end.

That's 3 out of the last 5 T20 games where Lancs have underwhelmed. Against Worcestershire they just didn't get enough runs on the board, vs Durham it was the same, and yesterday vs. Notts they messed up the run chase after getting into a strong position.

That sounds like all the blame is batting line up but that's not the case. They haven't held anyone to under 150 in 20 overs so far in 7 games. Teams are regularly putting up 170+ against them. Means you've got no chance of winning if the batting falters a bit.

Big improvement needed in last 7 games otherwise Lancs, and it's very strong T20 line up, will be struggling to get a KO spot.
I think Jookie might just be the best fisherman on this thread.

Heading over to Headingley with my Yorkshire mate for the first time in a couple of years, always fun wearing my Lancashire hat on the Western Terrace when we're winning.

Very good, but you forgot to say that Lyth got 0!

Mind you Bess has just taken 7 for 43. Can't keep a good man down.

Hadn’t looked! Kind of want to be see history being made with Jimmy taking his 1,000th wicket but will have to make do with Twitter updates.

Who was the last Englishman to do it does anyone know? Was probably Darren Stevens!

Bowler friendly conditions everywhere by the look of it. Day and a half of rain at Old Trafford and then you have to face Jimmy...

He has 7/10 now. Had the indignity of being hit for a 4 last over so runs have overtaken wickets.

Was checking the Yorkshire score today and I noticed that Northants have an opening batsman called Emilio Gay. An interesting nod to Hiroshima?

Any other players in cricket (or footy) named after Weapons of Mass Destruction?
