I have no idea how one can still think that we're playing well. The very definition of playing well in football has to be that you're looking likely to score a goal. There are games where you have good chances and you're just unlucky. This is definitely not the case here. We have a lot of possession but there's almost no outcome. There is the occasional chance here and there but you can't rely on the players to finish every one of these chances. Even the goals against Leipzig have been grave mistakes by them rather than good combination play by us. The midfield seems non-existent. Same goes for Bobby who's as dangerous as a center back up front in his current form. Thiago seemed to play vertical and fast in his first games but doesn't do that at all right now. He looks like Wijnaldum 2.0 right now, unfortunately not the one of last season.

I'm disappointed by the result but even more that there doesn't seem to be a development in converting the possession to real chances. Also the movement off the ball and the pace in general are just not enough.

This is far less enjoyable. And our league form for the past two months is even worse than Hodgson.

It was comparatively easy then - I just didn't give a shite after while because the manager was a c*nt, half the players were c*nts, you could easily blame it on them cos they were never good enough for us. This is way worse because most of these boys are legends (and the manager definitely is) and so it's much more painful see it get worse and worse by the week.

Also our luck was never the problem under the Owl, whereas now not one single fucking thing has gone for us in over four months. That's bananas and genuinely makes me insane watching it.

We were rubbish again. But bloody hell, the number of times in recent weeks there’s just been a boot in the way from a pull back, or a last ditch tackle to just get a stud on the ball, and the loose ball always going to an opponent or just spinning away from us.  It’s freakish, and they are the sort of things that need to go your way when you’re in bad form to help you out of it.

To be honest though, who cares? Ridiculous number of injuries and refs taking the piss all season coupled with no fans in the ground, it’s pointless.

We weren’t ‘rubbish’ though. We were far from our best, but over the 90 minutes we were the better of two poor teams. But you’re right about nothing going for us, and you’re right that it’s freakish.

It’s actually been this way since Christmas, and I think the posters who are using language like ‘rubbish’ and ‘awful’ are as guilty as Carragher of overreaction. Particularly when injuries have left us chasing a game against a low block, with absolutely no real pace where we are used to plenty.
