I don't necessarily mean that they've regressed ability wise, but only that they just can't be expected to continue to play the high-level "heavy metal" football that they've been doing for a number of years now. Firmino is closing in on 6 years at the club. Sadio on 5. Gini on 5 as well. Couple that with all the injuries we've had this season, and you can see how we were perhaps never going to have the season we thought we were going to have.

The reality is that when the transfer window opened we looked nailed on to piss the League. Today we had a rookie centre back colliding with our keeper. It simply isn't good enough.

You can't tell from that. The ball also looks like it's left it's foot in that frame. It also looks like Mane is playing them all on. The angle of that shot is all wrong.

There are going to be short term losses because of COVID but those losses are covered under FFP. It is essentially a business that has massively increased in value. FSG aren't fans they bought the club as an investment. People aren't asking for free money from a sugar daddy they are asking for investment.

We were by far the best team until the 'equaliser', their first 2 goals should not have been awarded. In my alternative universe we won and are 3rd and this thread looks completely different. (Just look at the Mane 'Offside' against Everton and how that was interpreted)

Analysis of 'what's gone wrong' (and let's face it, in the bigger picture it has) had no mention of the decisions today, which, if had been awarded correctly, would have meant that analysis was not necessary.

Thiago had a poor game but sometime players do.

After the blow of losing Fabs and Davies, i thought we put a tremendous shift in today. Henderson was fantastic, Mane was lively, kabak looked secure, and as for Bobby and Mo for that goal, wOw...

But once again we are fucked by things out of our control. The 10 minute VAR delay for their (offside)equaliser just killed us as I knew it would. VAR sucks all momentum and flow out of the game. Absolutely killed us. It's true that our heads went after that, but to be honest by now i don't blame them.

In all my years in the sevice I have never known such a run of bad luck

With only 38% possession, Leicester created more shots on target (6) -- or one every 5 minutes.
We have a central striker and an entire midfield that seem determined not to shoot, let alone score.
Take Salah out of that team and we are fooked.
We camp outside the opposition box and the entire team is static.
Compare that to Manchester City.... Gundogan has just about scored more goals in the last 10 games than our entire team.

There are going to be massive question marks over both Virgil and Gomez for the next 12-18. The nature of their injuries especially Gomez's means you really cannot rely on them. The only backup is Matip.

We should have addressed that.

That’s a later frame and not the one VAR used. Look at the VAR one and you see that the Leicester player’s foot is much further back.

However it is important which frame is used as it’s not always clear when the ball is first struck.
