Think he looked knackered for the 3rd goal to be honest. Looked quicker in the 1st half.
Now you think Ronald McDonald gonna go down to the basement and say, "Hey Mr. Nugget - you the bomb. We sellin' chicken faster than you can tear the bone out. So I'm gonna write my clowney ass name on this fat-ass cheque for you."

Thought he was fine until everything fell apart. If Alisson didn't call for that it's his fault. He comes further off his line than Kabak will be used to. He's only had two weeks to get up to speed with this team because FSG dragged their heels for a month.

I actually think he did okay until his goalkeeper stitched him up and his team-mates gave up. Looks strong, decent on the ball, won everything in the air and didn’t really get troubled too much by Vardy (who actually sat on Henderson instead).

Think he’ll be fine and he’s only 20 so only going to get better. Feel for him a bit that he’s coming in at a time when everyone else has gone mentally.

Give Phillips a chance. I've yet to see Kabak have a decent game for Shalke.

You've seen him have a decent game for us though, so how he played for Schalke is a bit irrelevant now.
Let's get behind the lad, ey?

I'll reserve judgment on the second goal, as I don't know if, or how clearly, Alisson called for it. But I wasn't 100% sold on him before then either. Agree with some others that he looked sluggish. He definitely needs to have a run though and see.

Think it's incredible that Henderson seems to look better than a lot of guys who've played their whole careers at CB, despite him playing there for the first time in his life 5 weeks ago.

Agree but he’s got less than 6 months actually, in the general sense of his career, yes plenty of time.

Based on that 90 mins, Nat Phillips can count himself very unlucky not to be involved.

Hard to say he was at fault for the last two. The last one was a pretty poor giveaway by Salah at the halfway line. One win though for him in 27 games.

Could be the next Bale with a record like that, lets put him in the wing in the next game

From all the videos I saw I was concerned about his pace and that hasn't changed after today. I don't blame him for that Alisson fuck up, but I don't think he's got the pace for our high line and I'm glad we only have the option to buy. Would rather a faster centre back.

I don’t think pointing out his lack of pace classifies as writing him off but based on what kind of CBs we have and Klopp is known to like, pace is one of the most desired and needed skill.

He may become a very good CB but it’s hard to see where and how he can get faster than he is.

Doesn't surprise me, he wasn't under any pressure and had space to work in.  Didn't see any penetrative passes or big switches from him, he just kept it simple, which he absolutely should've done on his debut.

Looked alright to me.  Can't say he seemed to particularly lack pace.  Massive fuck up for the goal, but that is mainly on the keeper for me. Alisson should just go straight through him if he's in the way.

As a former CB, I have been booted ten foot in the air by my keeper in those situations and I always accepted that was the right thing to do even if it bloody hurt.

He's 4th choice. If we were after a 1st choice CB then we needed to spend a lot of money or get lucky with this guy (or the other guy, forgot his name).

True that. We should spend £45m on a LB and the same on LB. Both of ours combined are cheap and therefore shit. Makes sense?

He showed a rush in getting into challenges that looked lost in the first place, so he left exposed gaps behind him and in other instances he looked like a passenger.

Talking shite.

He was on course for a solid, unremarkable debut until it all fell apart, and Alisson wiped him out.

Yep, same here. Thought he was solid. Being booked for something that isn't even a foul is something he's probably going to have to get used to.
We need some continuity at the back so hopefully he gets a run of games now.

The collision with Alisson was just an unfortunate moment, but he looked thoughtless in other moments.

Nah, not really. He wasn't Van Dijk-like, but he wasn't a liability. Got beaten once for pace by Vardy, but that's Vardy, then a few minutes later he covered him well at the second attempt.

Kabak has eyes on the ball he can't look around in such a situation. It's Alisson's job to shout if he wants the ball; there was no shout from him.

No, he didn't, even Klopp said so. And for the life of me I don't know why (even just to avoid collision).

If Allison did not shout Kabak did nothing wrong for the second goal. For the third one he should have stayed level with Henderson and that would have put Barnes in an offside position. He made a decent recovery run but could have been better if he started early and ran in a straight line towards the goal. Overall I think he made a decent debut.

Phillips might be quicker in a 100 metre sprint but over a short distance (which is what really matters in football), Kabak already looks quicker.
