Devastated.

I am 27 so Gerard was the first Liverpool manager I can remember clearly as a fan. I still remember the joy from the 2000/2001 season, or going the cup final in Cardiff in 2003. When I started going to the game regularly, the Liverpool I fell in love with was under Gerard's management.

No age at all to pass away

Grew up with Houllier as our manager, gave us some very good memories and he was always well thought of by everyone. RIP Gerard

Such sad, sad news in a year when it never seems to end.

Many great things should be said about Ged....he stopped the decline of the club and recharged it with success.

He gave us one of the best seasons in our history...the Treble

I for one would have him on the success has many Fathers banner as he was instrumental in putting the club back on track with winning ways.

Very sad news.
My condolences to his family.
He passes into the club legend.
A man ahead of his time in many ways, and too gentlemanly at times when belittled by some of the dinosaurs of the game.
He brought happiness and joy to so many faces.
