If Rodriguez just ignores Gibbs then he probably doesn't get sent off, it's stupid but if you don't force a referee to make a decision he'll worm his way out of it.

absolutely, the way he went down holding his face was like he'd been hit by prime Mike Tyson, clear red but no need for that reaction, he was getting sent off by VAR even if Dean had missed it

I don't mind that from Bilic. The game is gone and he feels there was a foul before Gibbs lashed out and he's probably fuming at the flop from James. Siege mentality, they'll need that this season.

Still, Everton looked poor before they got that spawny goal. West Brom will do alright if they keep playing like they did for most of that half.

Nonsense, its a clear red for the player and he shouldn't have to put up with that abuse from the manager. The real arsehole is Bilic, if I were a referee I'd be sending off a lot more than these do for dissent. To put it into context, you wouldn't have to put up with it in pubic so why should you have to on a pitch.

he's saying that the ref should look at the video but that only happens if the VAR official looks at it and advises them too I think. Like with Moss last week

James play acted to fuck but you want your player doing that if he doesn’t no red, so I’d be happy with him.

Dean was a twat for sending Bilic off though, have some fucking empathy let him fume an just keep walking into the tunnel, but he has to turn like a petulant kid and get his card out. Pathetic. Bilic will regret it though but impossible to hide emotions so soon after.

Yes. My comment was more a general observation about Hollywood Mike. He's never far from the center of the storyline of a match he referees.

Having said that, it's probably marginally better than some of these other cowards who do nothing, like Martin Atkinson.
