I do honestly believe that Chilwell has been the second best LB in the league this season. Ricardo Pereira on the other side is absolutely awesome too. £60m is steep for any fullback but he's got a lot of ability, is strong defensively and has a high ceiling. Oh and he's English. The fee will be high though because Leicester won't want to sell, not necessarily because he is worth it.

He’s had an awful season. It speaks volumes that Leicester fans are happy for him to go considering he’s been at the club since he was a kid. If they get even £60 million for him, let alone more, and replaced him with someone like Lewis they’ll be laughing as much as when they robbed United with Maguire. Their signings haven’t been great but that’s Edwards level ability in rinsing clubs when selling.
If he's being asked to head the ball too frequently - which isn't exactly his specialty - it could affect his ear and cause an infection. Especially if the ball hits him on the ear directly.

According to The Sunday Times, Chelsea have stepped up negotiations with Leicester City over Ben Chilwell. However, The Daily Mail are reporting that Manchester City are also interested in the left-back.
---

So City want to spunk another £80 million on a full-back... How much will that take them to?

£290m in three years it would be.

But no one is getting £80m for a full back right now.

Well there's only 1 or 2 clubs that can pull it off and are stupid enough to pay what Leicester want so....  Watch this space!

Marcelo Bechler, Brazilian Journalist who specializes in Barca. He called Neymar leaving  Barca before anyone else, also other things such as certain sponsorship deals and contract renewals.

Definitely, and City's wage bill will somehow decrease from this year, or their new shirt sponser will be a world record 100 million +.

He’s not leaving. But threatening to is the best weapon to try and change things at the top of the club.

Maybe he read the reports about Koeman? ;)

Think it's a terrible year for an older player to come to the PL for the first time. Don't get me wrong, Messi is one of the absolute best to play the sport and still operates at a top tier level, but he isn't as quick as he used to be and seems to move around less to conserve eneergy (could be team plans and shape though tbf). The PL is notoriously quicker than other leagues and is an energy sapping affair. This next season is going to be so intense due to the stupid as fuck scheduling due to insistance on playing the normal amount of cups and the season losing a month Add in European commitments and Internationals seemingly being three games at a time now instead of the two and the travelling involved. He's also got lots of commercial contraqcts he has to fly all over for.

In a normal year it's hard enough moving countries and settling in to a new environment and game conditions, but in this next one is going to be harder. Plus because of the condensed nature of the year, he'd have little time to spend with his wife and kids to help them settle into the unique Mancunian weather and lifestyle.

Messi would rip the league apart, thinking otherwise is silly. It’s be similar to what Suarez did.

Normally a player can look great on tubes, but one of the things that's encouraging for me is just the amount of youtube videos on him

I really cant imagine Messi in another team's shirt. It's a strange one really as you'd think with him still being at Barca in his mid 30s he'd want to remain there still out of some kind of loyalty. Prove he's the best by helping them rebuild.

Not sure about the clamour for Ramsdale, especially at that price. And Villa, who survived due to dodgy VAR cameras, and spent a ridiculous amount last summer, might want to be a bit more prudent in their approach

Spurs in for Joe Hart.

He could just retire, he doesn't need to move anywhere else. He's in his mid 30s, financially set up for life, won everything at club level, widely recognised as one of the greatest players of all time. If I was him, I would just bow out now with my reputation more or less intact.

Hearts’ young left back Aaron Hickey reportedly off to Bayern, if he keeps on his current trajectory they’re going to be well stocked in that position for quite some time. Assuming Thiago is off, they’ll probably need another option at right back to enable Kimmich to play predominately in midfield.
