Hoever is a great talent, but unfortunately for him we have TAA and Williams ahead of him in the pecking order at the right fullback position, and he (still) doesn't have the size to be considered for the 4th choice central defender position. I hope that we will include a buy-back clause or at least a right of first refusal in the deal.

It took less than 24 hours for people to whinge.

Hoever sees himself as a RB, and he's currently behind Trent and Neco Williams. Even at CB, he's at best our 5th choice, as I don't see him filling in ahead of Fabinho for instance if the other 3 aren't available.

10 million plus add ons for a player with 4 appearances is great business.

Think he has got a huge ceiling, but no realistic path (especially since Klopp has decided on Neco as the back up RB ahead of him) to first team football with us anytime soon, and our loaning players has not really worked in terms of raising their price the way we hoped. So I get if we can get a good fee (and 10 mill plus for a player with no real first team experience at any level is a good fee) why not?

Definitely interesting developments; you’d think talks would be somewhat down the line given we worked with them on Hoever. Is interesting that stories around Sarr, Dembélé and Jota have surfaced in the past 24 hours. Could be a smokescreen for someone else or maybe we’re just going to play the three clubs off against each other for the best deal. My preference would be Jota.

Jota is out of contract in 2022. Wolves have Podence & Neto,Traore as the forward options. They need to get some money in to get another RB outside of Hoever & possibly another CB.

I think this deal will happen for 30-40m once we sell Brewster

Wow. I was disappointed (and still am) to read Hoever is on his way out, but that Jota news has cheered me right up, as much as I like Sarr I think Jota has a lot more in terms of end product, and of course wouldn't lose him to Afcon! I think he would suit Liverpool Football Club to the ground.

Jota is 23 I think and looks a really good player. His numbers last season when he did some game time weren't bad at all
