Never knew about it until I saw it on Quora, but statues of Ulysses Grant and Hans Christian Heg, who fought against the Confederates (and in the latter case was killed by them), with Grant suppressing the KKK and passing the 14th and 15th amendments guaranteeing Black equality in the eyes of the law and Black right to vote and be elected, were taken down by BLM protestors. WTF?
In Grant's case, apparently it was because he owned a slave for a while. Who was given to him by his father in law. And was then freed within a year at a time when Grant was impoverished. And you have a white BLM supporter arguing in the Indie that it was no mistake to topple statues like these, of people who aren't pure enough.
