If they have to pass over titles, should have to do a guard of honour... specifically Silva, the little rat.

Just circle Bernardo Silva's house.

He'll have scuttled off to Barca by then the little rat.

So the chair of the independent panel is supposedly an Arsenal fan-- Murray Rosen KC.

Fans could have quite an impact if the punishment isn't adequate - petition anyone?

Even if the other 19 clubs or PL bow down (not likely) the fans can demand this gets looked into by Gov and HMRC.

Out of interest, what do you want HMRC to do here? There's no suggestion that they have made fraudulent returns.

Well I don't agree in the strongest possible terms. In the last few years when we competed with these c*nts the entire fucking league, the entire world KNEW they were cheating. Everyone has known from day fucking dot. They don't have the money, they don't compete.

There is NOTHING that will make up for not having those moments last year, or in 2019 of seeing the premier league trophy at a packed anfield. Or indeed of Steven Gerrard walking round the pitch with the one trophy that evaded him. I generally don't like to think about it, or even talk about it much, in real life because it's so ridiculously unfair really, isn't it?

Awarding us the titles that we would have without doubt won had city not had their fiscal steriods isn't perfect, far from it, but it's the most reasonable outcome. If that means Ole and united get their flowers too then fair enough.

City are an abberation on this league, a stain on the face of football - and whilst I share your pessimism on what might happen - I hope today is the first step in removing that stain for good.

Agreed that you cannot recreate the moment again. The cheats have had their moment and won't worry too much if the titles are stripped. However the medals should be handed to those players who deserved them and we should celebrate as if it was live otherwise we have allowed the cheats to win. Celebrate in Silva's face. Remind them of their cheating every opportunity.

not going to happen, the recent years will not be investigated further I am pretty sure of that, even though the years leading up to it obviously aided Abu Dhabi’s wins in those years. The extent of it will be up to 2018, whatever they say, they won’t drag it out further, the PL will think it’s done it’s job now. So all the hard work of the last 5/6 yeares will not be rewarded in any way.

The Premier League are still pushing for the documents after 2018 to be released.

So why not impose points deductions until they are presented. 1 point per week or whatever (backdated).

They have allegedly paid managers and players off the books according to charges brought by the Premier League.

They should be forced to give us a guard of honour as we come on to take their medals.

Sure, but that was almost certainly disclosed to HMRC, even if they didn't disclose it the Premier League. They've been accused of breaching private rules imposed by a private organisation, not criminal activity.

Relegate them, ban them from transfer and null and void all their titles. I don't want titles to be awarded in retrospect. Let people know of their cheating, and let people know the PL let it happen by having a ton of empty title winners over the years. Never happening in a million years, but that is the best outcome.

Hope they get ejected by the PL, but they will be awarded a small symbolic fine. Also weird its not a bigger story in the media. Its a massive watershed moment and potentially one the most defining in modern football, and the headline on the BBC is Marsch getting sacked and their reaction page is on the Marsch reactions and meaningless stuff from the weekend?

I suspect they'd void the seasons if it came to it, but if they didn't then the men that Klopp and Stevie are....I cant imagine they'd celebrate.

How can they void the seasons? What about the teams that got relegated? It's a flippin' nightmare for the PL..

Not that I totally understand what it all means but I looked up what they are.

Quote
B.15.
In all matters and transactions relating to the League each Club, Official and Director shall behave towards each other Club, Official, Director and the League with the utmost good faith. For the avoidance of doubt and by way of example only, it shall be a breach of the duties under this Rule to:
B.15.1. act dishonestly towards the League or another Club; or
B.15.2. engage in conduct that is intended to circumvent these Rules or obstruct the Board’s investigation of compliance with them.

B.16.
No Person bound by these Rules, including any Club (either by itself, its registered Players, Officials, Directors, employees or agents), shall do any of the following:
B.16.1. conduct itself in an abusive, derogatory, insulting, intimidating or offensive manner towards any (other) Club or the League or (where applicable in either case) any of its registered Players, Officials, Directors, employees or agents;
B.16.2. commit any act (or omission) or make any statement that is discriminatory by means of race, religion, gender, sexuality, colour or national or ethnic origin; or
B.16.3. commit any act (or omission) or make any statement that brings the game of football, the League, its competition, a Club, a Broadcaster or a party to a Commercial Contract into disrepute.

B.18.
Without prejudice to the League’s powers of inquiry under Rule W.1, each Club shall comply promptly and in full with any request for information made by the League (including, for the avoidance of doubt, any such request made pursuant to a demand from a statutory or regulatory authority).

B.19.
Under the articles of association of The Football Association, the League is entitled to appoint annually seven representatives to the Council of The Football Association. Any Person who is an Official or a director or officer of the League shall be eligible for appointment. Six such representatives shall be elected by Clubs in General Meeting and one shall be appointed by the Board subject to ratification by Clubs in General Meeting.

W.1.
The Board shall have power to inquire into any suspected or alleged breach of these Rules and for that purpose may require:
W.1.1. any Manager, Match Official, Official or Player to appear before it to answer questions and/or provide information; and
W.1.2. any such Person or any Club to produce documents.

W.2.
Any Manager, Match Official, Official or Player who fails to appear before or to produce documents to the Board when required to do so under Rule W.1 shall be in breach of these Rules.

W.12.
Where the Board wishes to conclude a Sanction Agreement with a Person pursuant to Rule W.3.7, it must provide a copy of the proposed Sanction Agreement to the Chair of the Judicial Panel prior to its execution.

W.13.
When in receipt of a proposed Sanction Agreement, the Chair of the Judicial Panel must, within two clear days, nominate three members of the Disciplinary Panel who will be required, within five clear days of their appointment, either:
W.13.1. to ratify the sanction set out in the proposed Sanction Agreement, in which case the Sanction Agreement can be concluded immediately by the parties and take immediate effect thereafter; or
W.13.2. to refuse to ratify the sanction set out in the proposed Sanction Agreement on the basis that it is unduly lenient, in light of the breach(es) of the Rules admitted. In such cases, either:
W.13.2.1. the parties may revise the sanction set out in the proposed Sanction Agreement and re-submit it to the Chair of the Judicial Panel in accordance with Rule W.12; or
W.13.2.2. the Board may refer the matter to a Commission in accordance with Rule W.3.4.

W.15.
It shall be no answer to a request from the Board to disclose documents or information pursuant to Rule W.1 that such documents or information requested are confidential. All Clubs and Persons subject to these Rules must ensure that any other obligations of confidentiality assumed are made expressly subject to the League’s right of inquiry under these Rules. No Club or Person shall be under an obligation to disclose any documents rendered confidential by either the order of a court of competent jurisdiction or by statute or statutory instrument.

W.16.
All Persons who are requested to assist pursuant to Rule W.1 shall provide full, complete and prompt assistance to the Board in its exercise of its power of inquiry.

Why not just wait and see what happens instead of making assumptions?

Whatever the outcome in terms of sanctions, this has laid bare the extent of their cheating. Anyone thinking about it for more than 5 seconds knew something was not quite right, simply because it didn't add up and the events of today have brought it all into focus and its not It's not just pissed off Liverpool fans leading the charge.

If, and its a big if, this stops future a City or Newcastle taking the piss, then it would have been almost worthwhile. But we have paid a huge price.

Feels like we might be years away from a firm resolution.

But then again, I never thought this kind of investigation would be a reality, and it's been going on for years. So who really knows.

Awarding us (or any other club) their ill-gotten titles just wouldn't feel right. It'd be an empty gesture that's way too little too late

If the PL want to atone for the fact that they've allowed these c*nts to cheat in plain sight right under everyone's noses then just strip them

If they really want to make an example, then they can go one further and fuck them out of the division

Put them in the Championship I say, and watch all their mercenaries abandon ship like the money hungry rats that they are

My guess is they'll find some way to get the PL to back down though, just like they did with UEFA

Their apologists in the media and on sky etc need to come under scrutiny too, they enabled the cheating by sidestepping it and in some cases applauding it. Carra Nevs Micah and the army of print journos have a lot to answer for. Perpetuating the fraud, they should be sacked too.
They must have been briefed to follow the party line, as there's no way Che Neville would willingly shill for Abu Dhabi at the expense of his Manch'ster Yinited Football Club.
