I’m pretty sure that the UK trials showed that Pfizer followed by AZ didn’t produce as good results as 3 Pfizer’s hence why arnt using AZ for boosters, and since the AZ vaccine is similar to the J&J I would chose an MRNA vaccine, and if you have had 2 Pfizer’s personally I would opt for a Moderna just to mix it up a bit even though Pfizer and Moderna are very similar.
Thanks for that. I've got Moderna and was considering Pfeizer (mix & match), but I think that a Moderna booster might offer longer protection. But there are also indications that the J&J booster might come good against the new variants. And I have no clue, no information on how J&J booster would develop in the presence of a lot of antibodies from another booster (Moderna or Pfeizer); I would think that there is a chance that it may not be as effective as without the other booster. The US is not in immediate risk at this time, so I have time to decide. But if the new South African variant shows up here, I'd be at the nearest pharmacy in 5 minutes to get any booster available.
But the point is that this is not as simple decision as people portray it, especially looking at the narratives in all media. I guess the longer that gets repeated, the more true it becomes. They all say it's a no brainer that everyone should get a booster, but none of them can point to the data that shed light on some of the above questions...
