One of the things that I really hope comes out of this shitshow in the end, globally, is a massive shift in socio-political climates, where left and right are meaningless - as is poverty and hunger but hey I can dream.......I'm sure I'm not the only one........

Entire systems need to change after this - recovery to the previous status quo is hopefully something that the planet will have no desire to return to.

As a planet, maybe this is the wake up call that we needed. We do need to live as one people and work together for the good of all.

I've been saying this privately for a few months so I'll say it publicly now - the Earth has an itch, this virus is the scratch. Mother Earth, Gaia - she'll be fine without humans - we don't need to save the planet, we need to save ourselves. Maybe this is indeed the wake up call we need.

Hadn't much of the damage already been done though? They're probably at least another week away from seeing any drop - remember, they have 2.5k in critical condition still......

Lockdown isn't very strictly obeyed, and there's probably another two or three weeks of it anyway as people develop disease and pass it around their own households. Is slowing down in Lombardy, which was the point. Saw same thing in China even with a severe lockdown - took about three weeks before cases started to fall again.

Restaurant numbers have been down for a month or so according to a mate of mine who works at one of these fancy dan restaurants in London. So the closing of them was inevitable.

Scotland currently has a pretty proportionate number of cases out of the UK total - 322/3297 = 9.7% - but only 3.6% of deaths so far. Not sure if there is something significant in that or statistical noise, but worth keeping an eye on.

locked down 10th March wasn't it, loads in lockdown would have been already infected. Keep an eye on London!

Went for a walk (hobble) around Sefton Park with a mate. We kept our distance from everybody else, but it was surprisingly busy and precious few other people seemed to be making much of an effort to keep clear of one another.

I couldn't walk too fast, and found myself being "tailgated" by one lady with a dog, where it would have been easier for her to walk past me, so I just slowed down even more and dropped back several paces so she got the hint. Should have just pretended to have a coughing fit instead.

State my foot is in today I'll probably have to lay up for two or three days anyway. Wish I could get it checked out as I think I might have done the ligaments in my toe somehow, but hospital is the last place I want to go to right now!

London is proportionally higher by quite a way, so the rest of the country will be proportionately lower.

I needed to get a few things from Aldi and Home Bargains earlier, loads of old people in there, not distancing themselves from anyone. I was leaving room at the till between me and the person in front and people walked right past me through the gap, inches away.
