Is it maybe an option when you're setting up the GW? You didn't get to choose the settings did you DeFacto? At Leverkusen I've got Jedvaj out on loan and I can't recall him until the end of the season, but I don't remember this happening in Sleeping Giants.

Aaaaand there goes my pick!

No mate, didn't get that option. However I did buy Coutinho straight from Barca in the same world, even though he was on loan at Bayern, but I think Kesey let him go back to Barca when he took over

Well then it's true. If you pick Hakimi for example, you cant buy him from Madrid for a season then

Oh balls, what a pain. I guess that's the downside of putting smaller teams in the league, the big teams aren't automatically emptied.

It is what it is. There's nothing we can do now. I just double checked the custom GW settings and there's no option on releasing loan players or whatever.

You shoulda signed him earlier. He was who i was on about.

Thought you were talking about Joao Felix haha. Almost went for him last round but Meret was more of a priority. Not many good keepers around who aren't worth 40m!

The more I think about it, this is a real bugger. I would have drafted a little differently had I known.

I'm happy to offer any teams who have drafted loanees to replace them now if they wish.

I'm just not gonna buy loan outs, unless i forget. The seasons are small enough anyway.

Yeah, that's why I'm confused. This never came up in that world or SG. Unless we all just fluked out on not drafting loanees.

Think it's a bit early to set the GW up. We need to make sure we have enough time to finish the draft before the GW starts - not sure what the window is though. Maybe someone with a profile could ask on the SM forums?

Can you think of any players who were out on loan last season? We can check if people were able to sign them in Klipp's world. I checked Coutinho but he wasn't on loan at Bayern yet when we set up the GW.

It's deffo a thing in the standard worlds. Hoping a custom gw with empty teams is different

Did KK set up his game at the end of the real Premier League season?

Last February, so we're looking for players who were out on loan during the 2018-2019 season in real life. We only drafted players aged 24+ which narrows down the options.

Most loanees I can think of were under 23s, who of course none of us could sign anyway.

James was probably on loan at Bayern, but no-one drafted him.

Max picked Andre Gomes who was on loan at Everton at the time. Can't see whether he was actually able to sign him or not as SM clears the transfer history when you sell them back to an external, but I don't remember there being an issue.

Is it maybe only manageable clubs that have players loaned out?

Fairly sure the loan thing isn't a thing as all the teams we haven't picked are external. So Hakimi should be at Real, Coutinho Barca, Harry Wilson Liverpool etc

I'm midway making dinner by the way and unprepared for my pick. Need a bit of time to evaluate how little money I have.
