He's always been a long ball merchant who has a set way of playing. So of course when the FA decides they want to keep a consistent style of play through the age groups (correctly I might add) that goes completely against his instincts, they give him one of our most talented (on paper at least) groups ever and expect a different result. Typical FA incompetence.

You can tell when the chips are down he brings on a couple of big lads to runs the channels and hoof the ball to. He did it the other night against France bringing on a Calvert-Lewin, a lad so distinctly average even people running purgatory think hes bland to do his Everton role of run fast and jump in the air to try and win the ball thrown forward. He did the same to Abraham. He seems to distrust natural talent in favour of pace merchants like Demari Grey and crab like hatchet men like Chaudhury.

How is he in the job? Before his the last I saw of him was taking Watford down from the Premier League (having got them promoted admittedly) over 10 years ago. He was always a bit agricultural, how’s was he deemed to be someone who could develop the youth?

He is really good freinds with the previous technical director dan ashworth. He gave him a job lower down the age groups, didnt do well and got promoted

Spain are beating France 4-1. The fourth for Spain was a wonderful goal. Great ball with the outside of the boot from Fornals and slammed in from the angle by Mayoral. West Ham have just signed Fornals, in this tournament he has looked a real player.
