There was thread ages ago on GOT asking posters to list their best football memory since 1995. A few of them mentioned that Ferguson assault as their best football memory. I found that to be so sad.
They’ve had loads to celebrate:

1996 Cup Final
Gerrard red card in 1999 derby
Gerrard red card in 2005 derby
2005 League Cup Final
2012 Cup Final
Gerrard slip 2014
3-3 Palace 2014
Ramos foul 2018
Karius 2018
Kompany 30 yard screamer 2019

Amazing isn't it. They make out they are such a cultured club, yet their biggest hero since Dixie was Duncan Disorderly. A convicted thug and a yard dog who just went around acting like a twat. If anything sums them up, it's this.

Who I seen once in the Black Angus in Canny Farm in 93 or 94 I think.  It was the night before the season kicked off. Yes. It was him and fuck knows what he was doing there . Well actually I've got a good guess.
He who sees himself in all beings and all beings in himself loses all fear.

He who sees twats really is a twat themselves - Me - Now .

I mean, he’s about 18 inches taller than the other fella, and is a supposed “hard man”, yet he’s attacking this much smaller bloke from behind and caught him unawares.

You can draw your own conclusions.

I remember three things about Duncan Ferguson.

He used to keep homing pigeons.

He beat someone up in a Stirling taxi rank when he was still with Dundee United

He was out one night in Glasgow (The Blue Nile for people that know the city) with Ally McCoist, Ian Durrant and Andy Goram. I was there at the same time. The boys he was with are not exactly shy and retiring characters, but were having to plead with him to calm down, he was just about bouncing off the walls.

I mean, homing pigeons, what's that all about?

You can't be getting done drink driving.
He's got a tattoo on his wrist that says "I hate blackie blackie blackie blacks, and I fucking love handballing it into the opponent's goal and away from my own goal, and biting people, and kicking young kids in the bollocks when they ask for autographs. And diving. I fucking love that."

See Kasabele was sent off for Watford tonight for shoving a Norwich player into a hoarding.

Retrospective ban for Mason Holgate incoming? Or at least an admission from Sanctimonious FC that his actions were at least as dangerous as Son's, fortunately without a serious injury.

Another thing about Duncan Ferguson.

He was utter shite, injured most of the time and when he was fit he looked like he was stealing a living.

Think he averaged about a goal every 5 games for Everton, certainly worthy of "Legend" status at the Pit.

What the fuck has top 6 bias got to do with them getting beat by Villa, Bournemouth, Sheff United, Burnley and Brighton?

The real question is how good are Leicester & Sheffield United that they are overcoming the bias to get in the top four?  Oh and Bournemouth, Brighton & Crystal Palance to be above Man U & Spurs?

Pretty shit bias.

Probably because he only scored once in 16 or 17 games for them.

In defence of Duncan Ferguson, he's great with kids - goes out of his way to sign things and once immediately paid for a kids minibus when someone came round asking for signed kits to raise money for it and does loads of work for charity.

He's certainly been an absolute dickhead in the past, but from what good Blues I know have said, he seems to have completely turned his life around.

I have a very old friend from schooldays, a lifelong Blue, who was with his wife in a restaurant in town last year when the Everton team, or at least several members, came out from some private function room in the place.

So my mate and his wife went up to some and and asked for a selfie.

He said they didn't want to know other than Big Dunc who my mate said was really friendly, engaging and an absolute gentleman, not at all like the image most have of him.

I can vouch for this. One of my best mates is a blue and when he was much younger he went to the hotel in London before a game to try and get some autographs. Most of the players didn't bother, when Ferguson got off the coach he took the shirt off my mate and said 'Give me 20 minutes.'

He went into the hotel, came back down and every player had signed it, he even gave him a couple of footies and bibs etc.
