Is Pickford’s water bottle related to the Font of All Knowledge, the Bullens Wall?

It's Pickfordpedia.

I enjoy ridiculing him as much as anyone. But what does he actually do wrong?
Starts on his near post, and moves toward the danger (Haaland) when it becomes apparent, then is caught wrong footed when the ball is headed back to where he's just come from.
Even normal length arms wouldn't have to that ball it was so far from him.

In his defence it was a free-header in the middle of the six yard box.  That it was a pretty poor and saveable header makes Pickford look daft, particularly the bizarre jumping into the post thing.

I don't really understand why Pickford was in front of his near post when Gundogan was about to cross and therefore had to sprint to get back into the middle of the goal.  There's protecting your near post and then there's just bad positioning and I think it was definitely the latter.

Roy Keane had it spot on....I've been saying for years. He's one of the worst goalkeepers in the league - nowhere near one of the best.

He seems to live off a reputation of eccentricity and being Englands No1 (when there has been little to no competition for that Jersey)

His much lauded footwork and kicking is erratic at best and often ends up in the stands.
He storms off his line far too much and creates all sorts of problems for his defenders
He throws himself around like superman rather than shaping his dives to position his hands to redirect shots
He's an absolute mess with 1 on 1's - you've literally got no idea what he will do.
Causes complete panic in the defence because of his randomness so they've no idea what their doing.

And to compound all his shiteness he's a massive arrogant wanker who screams at everybody around him, as though he a fucking clue what's going on - I'd have chinned him by now.

I still blame the useless twat for it. Like you say, his positioning was awful initially, but if you look at Haalands shape he's not going to go for a flick, he's going to go for power and T Rex should have anticipated that, instead he goes flying past the fucking thing (and the ball). He's just a clown.

For the freekick, while the dive is a clown dive, I don't really blame him for not getting to it. I've had a keepers eye view of an Alonso freekick from the Kop and by the time you see the ball it's too late to move. Ali counters this by making sure he can see the run up, then starts moving before the kick, to give himself the best chance of getting the ball.

He causes panic. Compared to Ali it's like they're playing two different sports. Him jumping around like a toddler in a ball pit for Haaland's goal epitomizes his approach to keeping. His positioning is so, so, so poor yet most people wouldn't pick up on it, because he has the odd highlights save (again, usually him rectifying his atrocious positioning). How many times have we seen Ali need to pull off a save for the cameras? I really can't think of too many.

His distribution is also woeful as you said. People laud him for this part of his game but every time I watch him he's punting it into the stands. Almost as bad as Raya for Brentford or De Gea in this area of his game.

The Haaland goal “leap” was similar to the leap he did against us. It’s as though he tries to anticipate the shot/header and move early. Problem is he looks a proper clown when the ball goes the other side.
