Just look at that for a moment, and take it in.
That's an absolutely remarkable set of results in any year. Any era. By any team.
In any other year, it would see a team with that run of results, head and shoulders above the nearest rival or chasing pack. Probably by some distance. Yet, here we are.
We may well go the season beaten only once, and still not be the champions, and at this point, don't see us having enough games left to overhaul City.
That's not being defeatist, by the way. Just a realist.
We're running out of games. Yet, another team might still do us a favour, (come on Leicester), but I just think City are too strong for the opposition in front of them, and too cynical to let it slip.
Hope I'm wrong mind, and I for the first one, wouldn't mind eating humble pie, come May.
But the situation is this. When you're up against a team that has a squad with two good players in every position, and can swap them out at will, the standards they can set can be almost unmatchable. ….. almost.
I think we've been outstanding this season. And spectacular to watch at times. So come what may, I'll still be giving them a raucous send off after the Wolves game, and maybe even after a coach journey round the city after the Champions League final. Who knows.
We can only do, what we can do, and the cards will fall, where they fall.
COME ON RED MEN. MAKE US PROUD!
